Powder Point Wealth Management, LLC, a new financial services practice serving the greater South Shore area, has opened its doors at 300 Oak Street, Suite 220 in Pembroke, MA.

Michael Damon, who is a Certified Public Accountant, Financial Advisor and Registered Representative (Series 7 and 63), is the founder of the new practice. Damon has been providing financial planning services for over a decade and increased demand for his expertise led to the launch of Powder Point Wealth Management. Damon intends to expand his financial planning team and provide wealth advisory services that include wealth preservation and growth as well as college, retirement and estate planning through the use of investments, insurance and annuities.

Damon is also the founder and a principal of Damon & Associates, Inc., a leading accounting and tax practice with a staff of seven in Pembroke, MA. PLYMOUTH, MA…

For the second year in a row, Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac has teamed up to fight hunger with the South Shore Community Action Council’s Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse to host a canned food drive at the dealership’s 137 Samoset Street (Route 44) location. The drive will take place during the month of November and all donated goods will go to the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse, which provides food to more than 30 emergency food pantries and soup kitchens in the greater Plymouth area.

“We’ve always believed that being in business was about being part of the community. As part of the community, we feel it’s important to help out those who might be going through a bit of a tough time,” said Jeff Tracy, president of Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac. “We encourage everybody to stop by the dealership and make a contribution to the drive.”

As an added incentive, Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac is taking $10 off an oil change for customers who come in with canned goods to donate. Customers simply need to present their canned goods when they check in for an oil change and the $10 will be deducted. Depending on the type of vehicle you drive, that can be a savings between 15 and 30 percent.

Containers for the food drive will be located throughout the Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac showroom. All canned goods and other non-perishables are welcomed and accepted.

“Last year’s drive generated 385 pounds of food, which equates to 296 meals. We can’t thank Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac enough for stepping up once again to host a food drive during this critical time of year,” said Steve Bailey, of South Shore Community Action Council. “The winter months and the holidays always present challenges in getting food to the people who need it. We’re hopeful that Tracy’s customers and people in the area will get in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season and give generously to this drive.”

“The Artists’ Gallery” at Wareham Crossing Opens Doors on July 5th

Kicking off the summer in sophisticated style, Wareham Crossing recently announced “The Artists’ Gallery” will open its doors to the public on Friday, July 5, 2013.

Sponsored by the Bourne Wareham Art Association (BWAA), The Artists’ Gallery will display the works of 15 local artists and will include oil, acrylic, watercolor and photography mediums. Original artwork will be on display and notecards, prints, Giclée and lithographs will be available for purchase.

A grand opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 5 to 7 p.m. The public will have an opportunity to meet BWAA’s talented artists at this event. Light refreshments will be served.

Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac has partnered with the South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC) on a canned food drive at the dealership’s 137 Samoset Street (Route 44) in Plymouth. Matthew Dupont, PT, DPT
Mass Bay Spine & Sport Physical Therapy (MBSSPT), an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy practice in Marshfield, has recently hired a new physical therapist, Matthew Dupont, PT, DPT.

Mr. Dupont is a 2012 graduate of Northeastern University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science. He completed a clinical rotation at MBSSPT prior to graduation. Mr. Dupont is focused on current treatment techniques and evidence based practice with interests in lower extremity biomechanics and functional gait.

He is currently accepting new patients.
