It’s Elementary. Voice4Nations’ School Supply Drive Benefits Families in Need

August 19, 2015 //  by admin

IMG_4701Voice4Nations, the non-profit outreach of virtual phone and live answering service company, VoiceNation, recently held its 3rd Annual School Supply Drive to help local children in need obtain the necessary, and often expensive, supplies for the new school year.

The new school year can be challenging for families who don’t have the resources to purchase necessary school supplies. Voice4Nations collected an estimated $400 worth of school supplies, ranging from binders, notebooks and markers to calculators, flash drives and backpacks and more, during their School Supply Drive held in July.

In addition to significant supply donations made by Voice4Nations staff, Snap Fitness in Ellenwood and the Mall of Georgia Wal-Mart made donations.

Voice4Nations delivered the donations on August 4, 2015 to Good News at Noon in Gainesville and Ivy Creek Elementary School in Buford to help families in need of assistance.

“We wish to extend our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the Voice4Nations School Supply Drive which helped dozens of families obtain the essential tools needed for school,” explained Jay Reeder, founder of Voice4Nations.

In recognition of World Homeless Day, Voice4Nations, the non-profit outreach of virtual phone service company VoiceNation, donated to the food bank of the Good News At Noon homeless shelter which serves the homeless community in Gainesville and Hall County.

The shelter, which is open 365 days a year and serves 55,000 meals a year, is a faith-based community ministry that relies on donations. World Homeless Day, an annual event held on October 10th, raises awareness of homeless peoples’ needs and offers opportunities for local communities to help.  Voice4Nations collected canned goods from their staff and donated them to people in need at Good News At Noon.

Ongoing Outreach

Voice4Nations has made it their initiative to assist the homeless population in any way possible. Every Saturday, their homeless outreach team volunteers at a homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta. The objective is to simply show this population in need that people really do care. Voice4Nations also provides hygiene products, clothing, Internet access so individuals can communicate with family, food, and reading materials to the shelter.

Voice4Nations, the non-profit outreach of virtual phone service company, VoiceNation, recently held a School Supply Drive to help children in need obtain the necessary, and often expensive, supplies for the new school year.

Hundreds of school supplies, ranging from binders, notebooks and markers to calculators, flash drives and backpacks, were collected to benefit families in need of assistance. Voice4Nations donated the items to LAMP Ministries Inc., Good News at Noon, and Ivy Creek Elementary School for distribution. Voice4Nations was also able to provide school supplies directly to a local family of six who lost their home in a fire just as school was getting back into session.

Voice4Nations received donations from Wal-Mart Supercenter Hamilton Mill, Wal-Mart Supercenter Collins Hill, individuals and families in the community, as well as their own staff.

“There are families in our community who don’t have the resources for purchasing school supplies, which means that the children return to the classroom at a disadvantage because they don’t have the tools they need to succeed. Our goal was to provide the school supply necessities,” explained Jay Reeder, founder of Voice4Nations. “We truly appreciate everyone who contributed to our School Supply Drive and helped make such a positive impact on families within our community.”

Voice4Nations “Pays It Forward” for World Humanitarian Day

September 25, 2013 //  by admin

In honor of World Humanitarian Day and all that it stands for as a global celebration of people helping people, Voice4Nations launched an ambitious “Pay It Forward” campaign.

Voice4Nations.org is the non-profit outreach of virtual phone service company VoiceNation, America’s telecommunications leader in virtual PBX, voicemail, and innovative live answering solutions.

Voice4Nations encouraged and provided each volunteer an opportunity to do something nice for someone else as a random act of kindness. Each volunteer came up with a creative way to pay it forward and positively impacted the life of someone else in the local community when they least expected it.

The Voice4Nations team found many ways to pay it forward, such as providing lawn maintenance to elders, buying shoes for children in need, giving money directly to a homeless person, purchasing gasoline so an unemployed neighbor could get to a job interview, and helped support a family’s monthly daycare bill.

“This was a special opportunity for our team, but the ultimate reward was knowing we made a difference, big or small, in the life of a perfect stranger. It’s our hope that the person on the receiving end will ‘pay it forward’ as well, and together, we can make the world a better place for those in it,” noted Jay Reeder, founder of Voice4Nations.

Voice4Nations Launches 2013 Clean Water Campaign

February 19, 2013 //  by admin

Voice4Nations.org, the non-profit outreach of virtual phone service company, VoiceNation, has kicked off a new 2013 Clean Water Campaign to raise funds to provide clean water to developing nations.

Voice4Nations is continuing their work with charity: water and helping them in their mission of constructing fresh water wells and providing education to those around the world who are without clean drinking water. Voice4Nations’ 2013 Clean Water Campaign fundraiser is an “Ice Cream Challenge”.

More people die from dirty water and poor sanitation than all forms of violence, including war (source: charity: water). It is going to take $20 billion worldwide to provide clean drinking water (source: World Bank). American spends $21.4 billion a year on ice cream (source: International Dairy Foods Association).

The Ice Cream Challenge encourages households to take the same amount they spend on ice cream in a month and contribute it to Voice4Nations’ Ice Cream Challenge at charity: water. In this way, individuals and families can make a huge difference in the lives of many people without access to clean water.

Voice4Nations’ Ice Cream Challenge fundraising efforts from 2012 are being utilized to build wells in Ethiopia and Nepal. According to charity: water, 60 new and rehabilitated hand-dug wells, 79 new and rehabilitated drilled wells, and 11 new and rehabilitated spring protections are underway in Ethiopia. Additionally, 40 large-scale gravity fed water systems and 62 rehabilitated hand-dug wells are underway in the Sinduhili and Chitwan districts of Nepal.

“More than a billion people around the world do not have access to safe drinking water. We want to change that. Our 2013 Clean Water Campaign starts with an Ice Cream Challenge, where 100 percent of all donations directly funds clean water projects in developing nations. Working together, we really can make a difference,” explained Jay Reeder, president of VoiceNation.

Record Growth and a New Vision for VoiceNation

January 21, 2013 //  by admin

VoiceNation, the industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, has recently released 2012 year-end statistics, which exhibit significant growth. Company revenue increased 75 percent, which in effect led to a 300 percent increase in live operator job positions within their US-based call centers.

These statistics were shared with VoiceNation employees during their End of the Year Banquet, themed “Your Work Matters”. The banquet’s theme reinforced the significant role that VoiceNation employees have and how their work makes an impact on others in the world. At the same time, VoiceNation also unveiled their new vision: “Not to be satisfied as just an industry leader and trailblazer, but to be a knowledge leader that shepherds industries towards creating innovative solutions to business and global challenges.”

Exemplifying this vision, VoiceNation has already begun to take steps towards helping others in the community and making the world a better place. At their End of the Year Banquet, VoiceNation installed informational booths so their employees could learn more about, and potentially participate in, the company’s outreach efforts with the local homeless community and the global clean water initiatives of Voice4Nations.

During the holiday season, VoiceNation’s president Jay Reeder provided each employee with resources to support a child living in a local foster care facility. Each employee was provided with an informational packet for a child, which included the child’s holiday wish list and the funds to purchase gifts.

In the last quarter of 2012, the company launched a recruitment campaign entitled “It’s Your Turn to Answer the Call” geared towards helping those greatly affected by hard economic times. Working with Goodwill of North Georgia Oakwood Career Center, VoiceNation held a tremendously successful Job Fair, where more than 120 job seekers were in attendance. One-third of all applicants interviewed for employment with VoiceNation were scheduled for a second interview.

“At VoiceNation, we want our employees to feel significant, to truly understand that their work matters and has an impact on others in the world. We believe that through a concerted effort, we can positively affect our neighbors – those in our local community and far beyond,” explained Reeder.

Team Voice4Nation Rides to Raise Awareness of the Global Water Crisis

October 10, 2012 //  by admin

The mountain bike racing team at VoiceNation, an industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, has recently completed two races in support of Voice4Nations , a non-profit outreach dedicated to helping improve the standard of living in developing countries and raising awareness of the global water crisis.

Eric Schurke, VoiceNation’s Director of Sales (and a resident of Hoschton) rode in the September 8th Fool’s Gold 50 & 100 Mile Mountain Bike Race which was based out of the Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA. This challenging 100 mile race was part of the National Ultra Endurance Series and ran through the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Josh Merriam, VoiceNation’s Web and Graphic Designer (and a resident of Cumming) rode in the 24th annual Six Gap Century, a 104 mile road bike race through North Georgia held on September 30th. The Six Gap Century boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. The route was extremely challenging and included six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains, such as Hogpen Gap, which has an average 7 percent grade for seven miles and sections as steep as 15 percent.

“These races are true tests of endurance and skill and we’re very proud of Team Voice4Nations. Voice4Nations goal is to raise awareness and help facilitate funding that directly benefits communities in developing countries that have been identified as most in need of clean water,” said Jay Reeder, founder and president of VoiceNation.
