VoiceNation’s “Operation Give Back” Brightens Holidays for Local Families

For the fifth consecutive year, VoiceNation, the industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, has made the holidays brighter for many local families through their “Operation Give Back” outreach program.

Operation Give Back is the name given to VoiceNation’s outreach effort to help ensure local children living in shelters and those in need of assistance receive gifts during the holiday season.

This year, Operation Give Back was able to help 34 families of Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together, Inc. (SAFFT), a 501(c)3 organization located in Cumming that has a mission to protect children, rebuild families, and empower caregivers. VoiceNation was also able to assist 24 children of Georgia CALLS clients in Buford, the nonprofit organization that helps families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness by guiding them from dependency to long-term self-sufficiency.

Operation Give Back and SAFFT

VoiceNation received referrals from the agency working with families in need and provided their employees with an Operation Give Back profile folder for each child in need. Each folder contained funds to purchase gifts, along with a child’s holiday wish list and preferences, such as his/her favorite color, clothing size, favorite activities, and hobbies. VoiceNation “elves” then purchased gifts, which ranged from clothes, toiletries, and sporting goods to games, toys and more for dozens of children ranging in age from three months to 17 years old. Each child received at least three wrapped gifts.

“As our staff learns about the children in need, they feel a connection to them. They are very enthusiastic about fulfilling the children’s holiday wish lists,” explained Jay Reeder, CEO at VoiceNation.

Helping Georgia CALLS Families

Georgia CALLS helps families create a path out of poverty, crime, or addiction by changing the family dynamics and the environment in which they raise their children. Although their clients are working hard to do better by their families, they are still in need of assistance. Through Operation Give Back, VoiceNation provided each Georgia CALLS client with $90 in gift giving funds for each child, thereby enabling them to go out and purchase gifts.

VoiceNation Appoints Rachel Adams as Event Coordinator

In her new role, Ms. Adams will oversee planning, marketing and budgeting for VoiceNation’s internal and external events. She will also be responsible for developing content for the company’s blog and social media. Ms. Adams will report directly to VoiceNation’s CEO, Jay Reeder.

Before joining VoiceNation, Ms. Adams worked in event planning at Oakwood Occasions in Gainesville. She majored in Business Administration in Hospitality and graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Ms. Adams also holds certificates in Event Planning and Finance & Events.

Ms. Adams is active in many of VoiceNation’s volunteer outreach activities. Outside of VoiceNation, she assists her husband, Blake Adams, who is a pastor at Torch Worship Center.

VoiceNation Answers the Call for ABC Columbia

ABC Columbia selected VoiceNation as their partner for their May Sweeps Gold Tablet Giveaway contest. During the month of May, ABC Columbia gave away 40 gold tablets over a four-week period. Twice a day for four weeks straight, WOLO held a contest for their viewers to call in to a toll free number where they could enter their name to the random drawing to win one of the highly popular gold tablets.

“Knowing that the contest would create a huge buzz and thousands of calls from their loyal viewers, ABC Columbia needed a solution that could handle an incredibly high call volume.  Ultimately, they chose VoiceNation as their preferred provider to answer the calls,” said Eric Schurke, Director of Operations at VoiceNation.

Previous to that, he served as Director of Marketing Execution for 13 years at Crown Financial Ministries, a non-profit organization formally based in Gainesville, now located in Knoxville, TN. He attended Gainesville Sate College for Business Management and Communications.

A recognized speaker, Mr. Gazaway has led national webinars and sessions on customer segmentation and retention. He is a member of eMarketing Association and a former member of the Technology Association of Georgia.

Dozens of families benefit from VoiceNation’s “Operation Give Back”

VoiceNation, the industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, made the holidays brighter for 27 local families through their “Operation Give Back” outreach program.

Now in its fourth year, Operation Give Back is the name given to VoiceNation’s outreach effort to help ensure local children living in shelters and those in need of assistance receive gifts during the holiday season.

VoiceNation worked with Jackson County Family Connection in Jefferson and Georgia CALLS in Buford to provide holiday gifts for 65 children, ranging in age from three months to 17 years old. The gifts included BMX bicycles, arts and crafts, clothes, shoes and many different toys.

How it Works

VoiceNation receives referrals from agencies that are working with families in need. VoiceNation provided their employees with funds to purchase gifts along with Operation Give Back profile folders of the children in need, which include the child’s age, gender, holiday wish list and preferences, such as their favorite color, clothing size, favorite activities, and hobbies.

“Many participants in Georgia CALLS’ re-entry program are working hard to become CEOs of their own lives and to do better by their families, but are still in need of assistance. They are amazed at the outpouring of support from anonymous donors,” explained Mark Mobley, Executive Director of Georgia CALLS.

“Our Operation Give Back program has become a highly sought after volunteer initiative here at VoiceNation. As our staff learns about the children in need, they feel a connection to them and are incredibly enthusiastic about the gifts they purchase for them,” explained Jay Reeder, the company’s president. “Operation Give Back is a tremendous opportunity to support children and families in need within our community while spreading holiday cheer.”
