VoiceNation Answers the Call for ABC Columbia

ABC Columbia selected VoiceNation as their partner for their May Sweeps Gold Tablet Giveaway contest. During the month of May, ABC Columbia gave away 40 gold tablets over a four-week period. Twice a day for four weeks straight, WOLO held a contest for their viewers to call in to a toll free number where they could enter their name to the random drawing to win one of the highly popular gold tablets.

“Knowing that the contest would create a huge buzz and thousands of calls from their loyal viewers, ABC Columbia needed a solution that could handle an incredibly high call volume.  Ultimately, they chose VoiceNation as their preferred provider to answer the calls,” said Eric Schurke, Director of Operations at VoiceNation.

Over the course of the month long contest, ABC viewers made over 50,000 calls to the VoiceNation platform that was customized specifically for the Gold Tablet Giveaway contest.  During peak call times, VoiceNation was handling nearly one thousand simultaneous calls.

ABC Columbia’s Station Manager/Program Director Dave Aiken stated, “VoiceNation was most helpful in recommending the voicemail registration system.  We were most pleased with the way VoiceNation worked with us on the execution of this contest. It was the first time the station had used a voicemail registration contest.”

VoiceNation Appoints Jason Gazaway as Marketing Communications Specialist

Mr. Gazaway will oversee marketing communications around the offerings and features of VoiceNation, which includes the company’s revolutionary opensource answering service software known as OpenAnswer, as well as VoiceNation’s outreach program known as Georgia CALLS. Mr. Gazaway will be responsible for internal and external branding, project management, article and content development, social media, and raising awareness.

For five years previous to VoiceNation, Mr. Gazaway was Marketing and Brand Manager for CablesAndKits ecommerce company in Buford, overseeing brand strategy and development, social design, email marketing and content creation. Previous to that, he served as Director of Marketing Execution for 13 years at Crown Financial Ministries, a non-profit organization formally based in Gainesville, now located in Knoxville, TN. He attended Gainesville Sate College for Business Management and Communications.

A recognized speaker, Mr. Gazaway has led national webinars and sessions on customer segmentation and retention. He is a member of eMarketing Association and a former member of the Technology Association of Georgia.

He is very much involved in VoiceNation’s volunteer outreach activities as well as those at 12Stone Church in Hamilton Mill. In his free time, Mr. Gazaway plays drums, enjoys sports, and for more than 15 years has been an avid runner of half marathons and 10Ks.

Team Voice4Nation Rides to Raise Awareness of the Global Water Crisis

The mountain bike racing team at VoiceNation, an industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, has recently completed two races in support of Voice4Nations , a non-profit outreach dedicated to helping improve the standard of living in developing countries and raising awareness of the global water crisis.

Eric Schurke, VoiceNation’s Director of Sales (and a resident of Hoschton) rode in the September 8th Fool’s Gold 50 & 100 Mile Mountain Bike Race which was based out of the Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA. This challenging 100 mile race was part of the National Ultra Endurance Series and ran through the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Josh Merriam, VoiceNation’s Web and Graphic Designer (and a resident of Cumming) rode in the 24th annual Six Gap Century, a 104 mile road bike race through North Georgia held on September 30th. The Six Gap Century boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. The route was extremely challenging and included six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains, such as Hogpen Gap, which has an average 7 percent grade for seven miles and sections as steep as 15 percent.

“These races are true tests of endurance and skill and we’re very proud of Team Voice4Nations. Voice4Nations goal is to raise awareness and help facilitate funding that directly benefits communities in developing countries that have been identified as most in need of clean water,” said Jay Reeder, founder and president of VoiceNation.
