Webster One Source of Hanson and West Boylston Announces New Sign Service

November 17, 2010 //  by admin

Webster One Source, providers of fine commercial printing and complete mailing/fulfillment services, has recently announced they will provide the full range of commercial sign service at their Hanson and West Boylston locations.

Webster One Source has heavily invested in brand new signage equipment for the production of all types of commercial signs. Webster One Source has established a new Sign Department and will cater to commercial clients seeking all types of signage. The company can take care of all production, from removable custom wall and floor graphics, window signs, tradeshows and banners to POP and vehicle graphics. Webster One Source can print directly on any substrate from vinyl to wood, even glass and utilizes custom router cutting to any shape. They also provide service and installation.

A True Color House

Webster One Source is an independent, “brand insurance” graphics company that assures consistency whether producing printed matter via offset, digital or inkjet technology. Webster can die cut, route and automate the finishing work, which in turn allows them to offer the client more cost-effective pricing than their competitors.

The company plans on developing a sign showroom in each of their locations for customers who need hands-on consultation.

“Using the basketball term, the creation of signs is a ‘lay-up’ for us. We’re already providing comprehensive commercial print services to our clients and it just makes sense for us to meet their signage needs. Webster has become a true color house, which means we match color expertly across all offset, ink jet and digital platforms,” explained Ernie Foster, president of Webster One Source.

For more information, contact Webster One Source at 781-447-5484 or visit the website at websteronesource.com.

New Printing & Paper Converting Division Established at Emerson Bearing

June 3, 2010 //  by admin

Emerson Bearing, a Boston based bearing company catering to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) markets throughout the U.S., has recently announced a new division to specifically cater to Printing & Paper Converting customers.

Emerson Bearing’s customer care representatives in the new Printing & Paper Converting division are trained to accommodate the unique needs of clients in the press, pre-press, offset and digital printing and paper conversion industries. Emerson’s 24/7 service and inventory are critical to the operations of many of their clients.

Emerson Bearing’s knowledgeable Printing & Paper Converting team assists clients in determining which bearing technologies would be most suitable by taking into consideration the specifications, recommendations, maintenance strategies, fatigue life and wear resistance of the bearing in relation to the application. The division is led by Rick Piracini, an industry solutions expert at Emerson Bearing.

The process of converting paper into a usable form has very different bearing requirements. Slitters and rewinders require high speed ball bearings and linear motion bearings that have high running accuracy.

Emerson Bearing provides Special Solutions to Printing & Paper Converting clients such as the use of ‘free running’ insert bearings and pillow blocks. These have modified seals and slingers on both sides which allow for low start up torque and effective sealing even in high heat applications.

Printing on paper is the final phase. To achieve the required pin sharp print quality, Emerson Bearing provides high precision and wear free bearing supports for the print rollers. This insures that the impression cylinder is supported with as little clearance, and as much rigidity as possible and with very few runout errors. The NAO style needle bearing with offset cage packets has become the standard. Needle rollers, Cam Followers and yoke rollers are used extensively in the distributor roller drives, gripper shaft controls and throughout the presses. Other related products available through Emerson Bearing include: ball bearings, needle bearings, roller bearings, linear motion, Er free running, mounted units, oil seals, cam followers and rod ends.

Failure Analysis

As part of their customer care, Emerson provides clients with the unique service of “Bearing Failure Analysis” which helps them determine the cause of bearing failure so that they may prevent future failure and predict reliability. Or, if clients desire to do so, they can utilize the Bearing Failure Analysis program within the Technical Toolbox on the Emerson Bearing website.

“We’ve experienced significant growth in the printing and paper converting markets over the last couple of years. Due to the increased demand, we’ve created an entire division to specifically cater to their needs,” noted Steve Katz, president of Emerson Bearing.

To reach Rick Piracini in Emerson Bearing’s Printing & Paper Converting division, contact (866) 995-8765 or email rickp@emersonbearing.com.

The Emerson Bearing Difference

In a proud tradition, the same families that started the company in 1957 keep Emerson Bearing rolling by specializing in bearings for OEM and MRO markets across the country. Emerson Bearing has a staff of 22 and a 23,000 square foot facility to provide bearings ranging in size from 3mm to tunnel-boring 15-foot-diameter giants.

Emerson Bearing offers customers a one-stop shopping experience. With an online product catalog with over 3 million bearings; a vast inventory of bearings; worldwide sourcing; a fixed price program; a knowledgeable staff dedicated to delivering; same day shipping and 24/7 service, Emerson Bearing has become the leading provider of bearings to OEM and MRO markets in the U.S.

Local Printer Invests in New Technology & Expands Scope to Provide Internet Printing Services

October 14, 2009 //  by admin

Webster One Source (formally Webster Printing and Mailing) of Hanson and Worcester, Mass., providers of fine commercial printing, promotional specialty premiums, and complete mailing/fulfillment services has recently made a bold move in the current economy. The company has invested heavily in new press and pre-press technology and expanded their scope to offer an alternative to the Internet printing services.

Webster One Source obtained financing to purchase two new “green” presses, costing a total of $3 million plus. The new equipment is very environmentally friendly and uses fewer chemicals and less energy–which ultimately reduces operating costs and enables them to expand to Internet printing.

The decision to add a LOCAL alternative to Internet printing to their services came in response to the growing number of people utilizing Internet printers for business and independent print jobs. Serving the Worcester, 495 and Boston area, Webster One Source can now provide consumers with Internet printing services at the same low cost, but with the added benefits of agency quality printing, superior customer service and fast turnaround.

Customers can place their print order online at www.websteronesource.net and get a quick turnaround on their print project. They simply upload their file to Webster’s FTP (file transfer protocol) site to create a high resolution PDF and make their print selections. After credit card information is submitted, Webster One Source then completes the job quickly.

“Nowadays, people choose a printer solely based on cost and Internet printing companies offer very low prices. What people don’t realize is that whatever materials they submit to the typical online printer, is what they’ll get in return. There are no proofs; no one will review the work to catch errors; enhance the color and so forth. If there are errors, your typical Internet printer will be happy to do the job again – all you have to do is submit it as a new job and make another payment,” explained Ernie Foster, president of Webster One Sourrce. “That’s where we differ. We provide Internet printing services that are competitively priced, but we also provide agency quality printing and great customer service.”
