Oh, Boise! eLove Matchmaking opens matchmaking office in the greater Boise area.

May 9, 2012 //  by admin

BOISE and MERIDIAN, IDAHO AND NORWELL, MASSACHUSETTS…

eLove Matchmaking, one of the world’s largest professional introduction services, recently opened a matchmaking office in the Boise suburb of Meridian, Idaho. The office is located at 3023 East Copper Point Drive, Suite 209, in Meridian.

“We’re more than a little excited about our new location in Idaho,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove Matchmaking. “For starters, this office gives us a presence in 26 states—more than half the country. More importantly, we’re bringing a formula to the singles of the greater Boise area that’s literally helped hundreds of Jacks find their Jills.”

eLove Matchmaking’s professional matchmakers have paired literally thousands of singles over the past three decades. eLove clients fill out an extensive questionnaire before sitting down with a one-on-one interview with matchmakers. During this comprehensive session, clients clearly define what it is they are looking for in a mate.

“In an ordinary dating scenario with somebody you met on your own or online, it might take five to 10 dates to find out what that person wants and is looking for,” said Falzone. “Because of our interview process, singles have more knowledge about the person they are dating from day one—what they like, what they want, etc. That’s why we enjoy a very high rate of success and we’re delighted to bring that to the singles in Boise.”

In addition to a one-on-one meeting with each member, eLove also conducts a mandatory background check for the safety of everyone they match.

To arrange a consultation with a professional matchmaker or for a membership, contact eLove toll-free at 866-881-1230or visit www.elove.com.

South Shore Skin Center and Spa Providers to Conduct Free Skin Cancer Screening in Plymouth

May 9, 2012 //  by admin

May is National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Awareness Month and three dermatologists and a physician assistant from South Shore Skin Center and Spa will be on site at the free Skin Cancer Screening Clinic on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jordan Hospital Club Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich Street in Plymouth.

Ramzi W. Saad M.D., Barry M. Austin, M.D. and Navid Bouzari, M.D., Board Certified Dermatologists along with Vanessa Rando, PA, will conduct skin cancer screenings, which includes an assessment of sun spots and moles. They will also provide patients with sun safety and melanoma prevention tips.

This free screening is supported by the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Cancer Society. It is open to the public. Call to register (508) 732-4940.

Last May, South Shore Skin Center and Spa dermatologists spotted several potential cases of melanoma during their free Skin Cancer Screening Clinic held at their Plymouth practice. That event was a collaboration of Jordan Hospital Club Cancer Center and South Shore Skin Center and Spa and supported by the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Cancer Society.

According to Richard F. Eisen, M.D. Board Certified Dermatologist and Founding Physician/Director of South Shore Skin Center and Spa, “Melanoma is rising rapidly in New England and in particular in the South Shore area. At last year’s screening, among the 100 who attended, we diagnosed one severe case of melanoma and three potential new melanoma cases which were confirmed after biopsy.”

Recent data has shown that melanoma is the number one cancer in young, white American women. South Shore Skin Center and Spa’s physicians remind adults and children to follow these important measures in the prevention of skin cancer:

Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.
Use ample amounts of sunscreen or sunblock with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even if it is cloudy.
Wear protective clothing and large framed or wrap-around sunglasses to protect the eye area.
Have your skin checked by a dermatologist regularly.
Note any moles or other spots on the skin that have changed. Have them checked by a physician as soon as possible.

Oh, Canada! eLove Matchmaking opens matchmaking offices in Mississauga, Edmonton and Calgary.

May 9, 2012 //  by admin

EDMONTON, AB, CALGARY, AB, MISSISSAUGA, ON AND NORWELL, MA USA…

eLove Matchmaking, one of the world’s largest professional introduction services, recently opened matchmaking offices in Mississauga, Edmonton and Calgary.

Headquartered in Norwell, Massachusetts, eLove Matchmaking has more than 50 offices in 26 states in the United States. The three new offices are the only eLove Matchmaking offices presently in Canada.

“We’ve had our eye on opening offices in Canada for quite some time and we’re thrilled to be opening up these three offices with hopes of adding more down the road,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove Matchmaking. “Love is truly an international language and we believe the matchmaking techniques that have been so successful for clients in the States will work just as well in the great white north.”

eLove Matchmaking’s Canadian offices are located at:

  • Mississauga –  4257 Sherwoodtowne Blvd, Suite 300, Mississauga, ON,
    888-408-6914
  • Edmonton – 9856 89 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, 888-408-6914
  • Calgary – 1842 14th Street SW, Calgary, AB, 888-408-6914

eLove Matchmaking works with singles age 21 to 70. The process starts with clients filling out a detailed questionnaire that delves into what they are looking for in a relationship. The eLove matchmaker then conducts an interview with the client to review their answers and further clarify what they might be looking for in a mate.

“In an ordinary dating scenario with somebody you met on your own or online, it might take five to 10 dates to find out what that person wants and is looking for,” said Falzone. “Because of our interview process, singles have more knowledge about the person they are dating from day one—what they like, what they want, etc. This removes much of the guesswork so singles are meeting people who they are more compatible with and have a better chance of making a connection.”

In addition to a thorough interview process, eLove Matchmaking also conducts a mandatory background check for the safety of everyone they match.

“There’s a reason we’ve been able to match thousands of singles in our three decades in business: what we do works,” said Falzone. “I simply can’t wait for our first Canadian wedding.”

To arrange a consultation with a professional matchmaker or for a membership, contact eLove toll-free at 866-881-1230or visit www.elove.ca.

The “Network” grows. My Pinnacle Network launches monthly business-to-business networking group in Norwell in June. Special charter membership price offered.

May 6, 2012 //  by admin

My Pinnacle Network
Steve Dubin of My Pinnacle Network

NORWELL, MA…

“Can you hear me now?” It’s a campaign a national cell phone company made famous, promoting the savings enjoyed by its network of customers. Another network is making its own noise, My Pinnacle Network, by giving business-to-business professionals a monthly opportunity to exchange leads, pass referrals and, most importantly, make business connections. In June, My Pinnacle Network will launch a brand new monthly business-to-business networking group in Norwell.

The Norwell My Pinnacle Network meeting will launch on Wednesday, June 27 at the Smith Barney offices at 600 Longwater Drive, Suite 202, Norwell, MA 02061. The Norwell My Pinnacle Network will meet every fourth Wednesday, with the second meeting being on July 25.

“Bottom line, business-to-business professionals are frustrated with the available networking opportunities out there. My Pinnacle Network is not a cocktail hour where you’re left to your own devices. It’s a structured networking meeting designed for leads and referrals passing,” said Steve Dubin, founder of My Pinnacle Network. “And with our new Charter Member pricing, business-to-business professionals can now join one of My Pinnacle Network groups for less than it would cost to buy a couple books of stamps every month.”

My Pinnacle Network is offering a special Charter Member rate of $200 per year for the first 12 B2B professionals who join any of the six current My Pinnacle Networks.

In addition to Norwell, those groups include:

The Braintree My Pinnacle Network will be held Tuesday, June 5, 1, from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at 25 Braintree Hill Office Park, Suite 200, Braintree, MA 02184.

The Mansfield My Pinnacle Network will be held Wednesday, June 6, from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at 20 Cabot Boulevard, Suite 300, Mansfield, MA 02048.

The Westboro My Pinnacle Network will be held Tuesday, June 5 1, from 8:00 – 10 a.m. at 1900 West Park Drive, Suite 280, Westborough, MA 01581.

The Hyannis My Pinnacle Network will be held monthly on the second Tuesday of month beginning on Tuesday, June 12, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at 1520 Route 132, Hyannis, MA 02601.

The Marshfield My Pinnacle Network will be held on the first Thursday of the month, beginning, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 165 Enterprise Drive, Marshfield, MA 02050.

Charter Members can pay the $200 up front on My Pinnacle Network’s website or make a $16.67 monthly payment for one year. B2B professionals can apply directly by going to www.mypinnaclenetwork.com. Only one B2B professional will be selected for each category. Those categories can be found at http://mypinnaclenetwork.com/about/categories.aspx.

“We do encourage prospective members to visit a My Pinnacle Network meeting before committing to join,” added Dubin. “With the Charter Member price, however, we cannot guarantee how long your category will be available and, as long as a prospective member’s references check out, it will be first come, first served.”

My Pinnacle Network streamlines the networking process by putting members shoulder to shoulder with others who are in the exact same traffic lanes. Another advantage of this networking concept is that if approved, a member has the exclusive rights to their category for their group–more than 40 other categories will be represented at each meeting.

Beyond the b-to-b angle, My Pinnacle Network adds the element of “high tech” to “high touch” of monthly face to face meetings.  All group data flows through a robust and easy to use website.  This keeps everyone accountable and highly visible.

All introductions/leads are posted to the My Pinnacle Network website and the website’s automation both tracks leads and provides reminders to pursue them.  Each member’s lead production and closing ratio can be measured by the group leader at any time.  Thus, non-productive members can be further coached to improve their value to the group.

If you are interested in attending a meeting in your area, please contact Steven V. Dubin at  SDubin@MyPinnacleNetwork.com or 781-582-1061 to RSVP. There is no charge to visit a My Pinnacle Network meeting.

Boston Common Podiatry Now Offers Stronger FDA-Cleared GenesisPlus Laser for Fungal Nails

May 3, 2012 //  by admin

Boston Common Podiatry, led by established Boston podiatrist and board certified foot surgeon Jordana Szpiro, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S., recently acquired the GenesisPlus Nd:YAG laser by Cutera, the most powerful FDA-cleared laser for the treatment of warts, fungus, scars and thermal resurfacing.

Boston Common Podiatry is one of the only providers in the Boston area using the powerful and innovative GenesisPlus laser in the treatment of fungal nails. The practice is accepting new patients.

The GenesisPlus laser provides a fast, highly effective solution, with minimal discomfort for warts, scars and Onychomycosis, which is a fungal infection that causes toenails to thicken, discolor and split. It is also ideal for skin rejuvenation and the treatment of spider veins.

Boston Common Podiatry’s impressive 80 watt GenesisPlus laser is 20 times stronger than the four watt PinPointe foot laser, which was previously used. The new laser also treats a larger, five millimeter area. For patients suffering with toenail fungus, results may be seen after one 15-30 minute session with the GenesisPlus laser. There is no down-time or serious side-effects.

“Previously, the treatment options for toenail fungus were the PinPointe laser or oral and topical prescription drugs. These options have a limited success rate. The PinPointe laser often requires multiple treatments and prescription fungal medications are not tolerated well by some patients. The GenesisPlus laser is safe, quick, with minimal discomfort, and provides results that are superior to other previous types of treatments,” noted Dr. Szpiro.

About Boston Common Podiatry

Boston Common Podiatry specializes in the treatment of foot conditions including pain, fractures and sports-related injuries; complicated foot conditions caused by diabetes, arthritis and cardiovascular disease; pediatric podiatry and molded orthotics. From athletes and dancers to marathon runners and high-heeled fashionistas to seniors and children, the renowned Boston Common Podiatry cares for patients from the greater Boston and Cape Cod areas.

Boston Common Podiatry physicians are Partner’s Healthcare affiliated physicians as well as on staff at several area hospitals including Mt. Auburn, a Harvard teaching hospital, and hospitals affiliated with the Cambridge Health Alliance. The practice is led by established Boston podiatrist, Jordana Szpiro, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S. Boston Common Podiatry is located at 264 Beacon Street, Second Floor, Boston, MA. For more information contact 617.262.2266 or visit bostoncommonpodiatry.com.

Mansfield, MA resident/businessman writes the book on purchasing lakefront property.

Scott Freerksen
Scott Freerksen, author of The Lake Book: Guide to Lakefront Living

MANSFIELD, MA…

When Mansfield, MA resident Scott Freerksen walked away from the corporate world a decade ago, he chose to pursue a career that involved his passion, opening a real estate agency specializing in lakefront property. That passion recently morphed into another venture, publishing, with Freerksen recently issuing The Lake Book: Guide to Lakefront Living.

“As a real estate agency, we provide guidance to people in buying and selling lake front real estate. The book is an extension of that,” said Freerksen, who resides and runs his real estate practice on Bungay Lake in Mansfield, three doors down from his boyhood home. “With a still sluggish real estate market, the dream of owning a lakeside home has become more affordable in recent years. The more knowledge buyers and sellers possess, the better the experience can be.”

The Lake Book covers a broad range of areas related to the purchase of lakefront property. Those include:

  • Defining Your Lakefront Dreams
  • Lakes and Ponds
  • Understanding Septic Systems
  • Think Green – Strategies & Concepts
  • Lake Home Specifics
  • Contract Essentials
  • Lakefront Boating Choices.

The book is illustrated with photographs and drawings to illuminate key factors, like the difference between a lake and a pond, watershed areas, weed management water levels and more. The book also features a helpful appendix with the top 10 questions to ask when viewing lakefront property.

“The most important thing to remember is the ‘show me’ rule,” said Freerksen. “Any time the homeowner or agent tells you a fact, make them prove it by showing it to you. Most homeowners or selling agents are happy to answer your questions. If they are not, this is a major red flag and you many want to consider how much you want the property.”

Lakefront Living Realty specializes solely on the purchase and sale of pond and lakefront property in all six New England states. In addition to their lakefront expertise, the company offers a current and complete database of lakefront properties on their website that features only direct lakefront homes. All the “riverfront”, “oceanfront”, “across the street”, “within walking distance” homes are taken out of the site.

For more information on Lakefront Living Realty’s services, you can visit their website at www.lakefrontliving.com. Additionally, Scott Freerksen regularly holds seminars on the keys to buying and selling lakefront property. Please visit the company website or call 508-377-7167 for the date and time of the next seminar.

About Lakefront Living Realty, LLC

Based in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Lakefront Living Realty, LLC is a full service real estate brokerage specializing solely on the purchase and sale of pond and lakefront property in the six New England states. Owner Scott “The Lake Guy” Freerksen, a Real Estate Broker and Realtor, founded Lakefrontliving.com in 2003 as way to support his real estate practice and to bring to potential buyers and sellers a website that features direct lakefront homes. All the “riverfront”, “oceanfront”, “across the street”, “within walking distance” homes are taken out of the site.
