Woburn-based Boston Solar, the top solar installer in the state and an ongoing supporter of the nonprofit Lucy’s Love Bus, invites the community to “Yoga Ohana”, a virtual fundraising event to benefit children with cancer on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
Lucy’s Love Bus, a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve quality of life for children with cancer and life-threatening illness, will hold the Yoga Ohana virtual fundraiser on November 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s a fun day of virtual yoga where participants will practice with local and international instructors, relieve stress and connect with other like-minded people. Yoga Ohana means “yoga family” and this event is geared towards all ages and abilities.
All proceeds from the event will go towards improving quality of life of children with cancer through yoga, art, music, meditation, supportive therapies and assistance for families.
Boston Solar is a sponsor of the Yoga Ohana fundraising event.
According to Daniel Mello Guimaraes, Boston Solar CEO and co-founder, “Boston Solar is proud to sponsor this special event. Funds raised will support the integrative therapies which provide comfort to children with cancer, and also provide emergency funding for Lucy’s Love Bus families who may need assistance in meeting basic needs.”
“We are excited about Yoga Ohana because it’s a really fun way for families all over New England to help raise funds for Love Bus families who are in desperate need,” said Beecher Grogan, Executive Director of Lucy’s Love Bus. “Ohana means family and this event brings everyone together to help families coping with childhood cancer. This level of support and togetherness is especially crucial in times like these. People of all ages and abilities will be able to experience the benefits of practicing yoga, from the comfort of their own home.”
Registration per household is $50 with a $150 fundraising goal. For more information and to register for the event, visit https://give.lucyslovebus.org/event/yoga-ohana/e271801
