Team Voice4Nation Rides to Raise Awareness of the Global Water Crisis

October 10, 2012 //  by admin

The mountain bike racing team at VoiceNation, an industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, has recently completed two races in support of Voice4Nations , a non-profit outreach dedicated to helping improve the standard of living in developing countries and raising awareness of the global water crisis.

Eric Schurke, VoiceNation’s Director of Sales (and a resident of Hoschton) rode in the September 8th Fool’s Gold 50 & 100 Mile Mountain Bike Race which was based out of the Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, GA. This challenging 100 mile race was part of the National Ultra Endurance Series and ran through the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Josh Merriam, VoiceNation’s Web and Graphic Designer (and a resident of Cumming) rode in the 24th annual Six Gap Century, a 104 mile road bike race through North Georgia held on September 30th. The Six Gap Century boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. The route was extremely challenging and included six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains, such as Hogpen Gap, which has an average 7 percent grade for seven miles and sections as steep as 15 percent.

“These races are true tests of endurance and skill and we’re very proud of Team Voice4Nations. Voice4Nations goal is to raise awareness and help facilitate funding that directly benefits communities in developing countries that have been identified as most in need of clean water,” said Jay Reeder, founder and president of VoiceNation.

Voice4Nations was launched with resources provided by VoiceNation, the leading telecommunications company providing virtual receptionist and live answering services. Voice4Nations is completely funded by private donors and the organization does not solicit donations. To learn more about Voice4Nations, visit http://voice4nations.org/.

VoiceNation Team

On October 1st, which kicked off National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, the staff of VoiceNation, the industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, donned blue shirts in support of STOMP Out Bullying (the signature program of Love Our Children USA™) and its initiative Blue Shirt Day™ World Day of Bullying Prevention.

VoiceNation is helping Love Our Children USA™, a national non-profit organization working to prevent and fight all forms of violence and neglect against children, spread the word and campaign to STOMP Out Bullying™.

According to Love Our Children USA™, “One out of four kids are bullied and depending on the age group, up to 40 percent of students say they have been digitally harassed. Nine out of 10 LGBT students experienced harassment at school and online and eight percent of students miss at least one day of class per month for fear of bullies.”

“We wore blue as a sign of solidarity in an effort to make October 1st the day that bullying prevention is heard around the world. We encouraged like-minded individuals and businesses to support the cause and learn what can be done to help,” noted Jay Reeder, VoiceNation founder.

VoiceNation to Provide Stephen Colbert’s “Atonement Hotline” During Rosh Hashanah

September 12, 2012 //  by admin

For the fifth consecutive year, VoiceNation, the industry leader in live answering and virtual receptionist services, will be providing Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert show with an “Atonement Hotline” number.
Each year, Stephen Colbert recognizes the Jewish High Holy Days by giving his viewers an opportunity to apologize to him personally during their Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Colbert’s “Atonement Hotline” is 1-888-OOPSJEW, which is a working toll free number supported by VoiceNation, the leading provider of voicemail, Virtual PBX and live answering service. Callers who choose the OOPSJEW option are greeted by Stephen Colbert’s personal pre-recorded message asking them to leave their apology to him stating how they have wronged him in the previous year. Colbert then chooses a handful of messages to play on a future show.
Producers of the Colbert Report selected VoiceNation for their ability to handle high call volumes associated with TV and radio spots. VoiceNation’s proprietary technology allows the hotline to take thousands of calls and voice messages, and essentially handle 40,000 Colbert fans, within a very short time period.
