Flower Empower – Winds of Change in the Floral Industry. “Conversion Division” launched by French Florist.

May 22, 2024 //  by admin

Sowing a seed, French Florist has launched a new “Conversion Division” to help independent florist shop owners achieve bumper growth. The Los Angeles, CA-based franchise organization offers transformative and proprietary technology, increased order volume and supply chain enhancement that dramatically change the customer experience and store profit.

French Florist is in the process of identifying and awarding an exclusive opportunity to the top performing independent florists in key cities.

Independent florists have been at the mercy of third-party aggregators like BloomNation, FloraNext, Dove/Teleflora, 1-800-Flowers, FTD and FSN who gobbled up most of the Internet and general advertising traffic and then took up to 40% of the gross sale.  French Florist’s Conversion Division is reducing that to 6% or even less.

CASH CROP

French Florist’s flagship store in Los Angeles is projecting an astounding $10 million in revenue for 2024. To put this into perspective, the average local florist shop, after years of toil, might see annual revenues of $300k-$500k. French Florist has shattered these benchmarks, performing over 20 times the industry average for a single location. French Florist stores operate much more efficiently, in large part because of the proprietary technologies they have developed.

HARVESTING SUPPLY CHAIN DISCOUNTS

The company also offers better buying power with direct purchases from major farms in Ecuador, Holland, Columbia, Mexico, Canada, United States, and more.  For example, French Florist stores have access to premium imports like red roses for as low as $13 per bunch, even in peak seasons, ensuring unparalleled value without overpaying. This direct buying power not only provides top-tier products but also can significantly boost margins, especially when integrated with the company’s advanced inventory management system.

Beyond florals and greens, benefit from exceptional rates on supplies with rates inaccessible for small florists—from elegantly etched 5×5 cubes at just $2.31 each to peak-quality branded ribbons and wrapping paper, at prices aimed at increasing profitability. These supplies aren’t just materials; they enhance artistic expression, allowing superior products at better prices.

FERTILE MARKETING

Marketing is critical to customer acquisition and growth. French Florist does the “heavy lifting” of marketing analysis and execution.

In the competitive digital landscape, standing out is essential. The SEO approach is designed to push French Florist locations past boutique sites like BloomNation and FloraNext.  Existing French Florist locations even push past giants such as Teleflora, 1-800-Flowers, and FTD to rank #1 in many local search keywords.

Award-winning advertising and marketing help attract three channels of customers – consumer retail sales, E-commerce sales and corporate accounts.

TRAINING FOR MAXIMUM YIELD

French Florist University includes 300 interactive and highly engaging video training modules to distill decades of veteran experience and provide insights for all members of the florist shop team – from the floral designer to the driver to the manager and more.

“The floral industry is at a crossroads, and French Florist stands on the front lines, ready to lead the charge,” notes Michael Jacobson, CEO of French Florist, second generation in the floral business. He added, “We’ve not only proved it’s possible to defy the giants; we’ve set a new standard of what success looks like. This is more than a business model; it’s a movement.”

Jacobson concluded, “”Flowers are the music of nature.  French Florist is the melody.”

New Between Rounds Franchisee Brings Specialty Brews and Coffeehouse Vibe to Manchester, CT

January 18, 2024 //  by admin

MANCHESTER, SOUTH WINDSOR, TOLLAND AND VERNON, CT… Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café, the unique bakery café and bagel shop with four locations in Connecticut, has a new store owner brewing up big plans for the Plaza at Buckland Hills Manchester location.

The Manchester café is now owned and operated by Ajay Mathew, a native of Hartford, CT who currently resides in South Windsor with his wife and two daughters. Mathew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from University of Connecticut in Storrs and an MBA from Post University in Waterbury. He had a 20-year career in the automobile insurance industry, most recently as a Unit Manager at Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT. However, coffee has always been a passion of Mathew’s and it was time to follow his dream of opening a coffee shop.

Mathew was interested in buying an established business and spent about two years researching various franchise opportunities looking for just the right fit. He was impressed with Between Rounds’ high-quality bagels and their overall franchise concept when he met with Between Rounds franchisors Jerry and Joseph Puiia.

True to the franchise’s standard fare, the Manchester café will continue to feature Between Rounds signature baked-on-site bagels and baked goods, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. Mathew will expand the menu with specialty brews and create a coffeehouse ambiance in Manchester.

In addition to the fresh ground and brewed gourmet coffee that patrons know and love, Mathew is expanding upon Between Rounds’ coffee offerings and adding new menu items such as Cold Brews as well as new brew methods. A new state-of-the-art espresso machine has already been installed to provide high quality results in half the time. Cold Foam is now offered, which is similar to whipped cream and goes very well with Cold Brews. Other new offerings include Pour Overs as well as six varieties of flavored coffee. On-site bean roasting may even be a possibility at some point in the future.

According to Mathew, “To me, comfort is amazing coffee and delicious bagels. I’m very passionate about coffee and exploring new brew methods and it’s exciting to have an opportunity to do so in the Manchester café.”

“Ajay is a very good fit for Between Rounds. We’re enthusiastic about his vision for the Manchester location which will serve as a launchpad for all of Between Rounds’ new coffee brews. The café itself has also been transformed to have more of a coffeehouse atmosphere complete with comfortable leather couches and custom artwork,” said franchisor Jerry Puiia.

The family-owned Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café has been in business for more than three decades and is the brainchild of brothers Jerry and Joseph Puiia, who are Staten Island, NY natives. The Puiia hallmark is manufacturing and selling their own bagels, which sets them apart from other cafés. In addition to the Manchester location, Between Rounds has corporate headquarters in South Windsor, as well as a location in Vernon Circle Shopping Center, and the independently owned Tolland store adjacent to a Citgo Express Gas Station.

“Our franchise opportunities are very appealing to motivated individuals like Ajay who are looking to make the transition from corporate management to business ownership,” explained Puiia. “Between Rounds offers brand recognition, proven operations and plenty of training and support which is a recipe that ensures success.”

Between Rounds’ Manchester location is 1540A Pleasant Valley Road in the Plaza at Buckland Hills. For more information, call the Café (860) 644-9025 or visit betweenroundsbagels.com.

The Café is open Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; and Sunday 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Franchise Opportunities
For those who are looking to be their own boss and take charge of their career, Between Rounds’ offers several different franchise opportunities, from a traditional store opportunity to Kiosk Gas Station and Convenience Market program to an Area Developer Program.

Franchisor Jerry Puiia explained, “A Between Rounds franchise offers the appeal of a locally-owned, community gathering place; renowned bagels and coffee and other signature fare; as well as excellent unit financial performance and wholesale distribution opportunities.”

10,000 mowers and blowers tuned and repaired.  And now franchising the business concept.

October 24, 2022 //  by admin

Tune-up or repair your snow blower, lawn tractor or lawn mower right in your driveway?  The new “house call” concept has achieved validation. On Sight Repairs based in Rockland, MA and serving the entire South Shore has reached a major milestone – 10,000 mowers and blowers tuned and repaired.

Earl Cogswell, a Rockland, MA resident and founder/manager of On Sight Repairs noted, “We started the concept in 2011 and I guess the numbers confirm that people really love the convenience of having their mowers and blowers tuned and repaired right in their own driveway – whether they are home or not.”

He added, “We are delighted to provide first class repair service and remove the hassle of arranging for pick or delivery.  Typically, we can schedule someone within a week and tune or fix their small engine in an hour. And the cost is quoted prior to starting the work. There are no surprises.”

“And, for the first time,” continued Cogswell, “We are offering an affordable franchise opportunity for those who are handy or good at managing the workforce.”

Tune-ups start at $89 and include a thorough procedure including change oil / waste, change spark plug (adjust gap), replace air filter/pre-cleaner, sharpen & balance blade, lubricate all pivot points, check crankshaft for damage, check ignition and compression, check safety components and test run, check self-propelled / grease / adjust belt, inspect starter (pull/electric/touch-n-mow). inspect primer, check & adjust for proper engine speed, replace fuel line, drop carb bowl and clean, scrape mower deck, flush fuel system, and adjust & lubricate cables.

The dilemma of homeowners is many big box sellers of power equipment want no part of malfunctions or maintenance.  On the other hand, many repair shops bristle at the idea of anything less than several weeks for turnaround.

No pickup truck to transport your mower or blower?  Don’t want to pay for pick up and drop off services?  On Sight Repairs is an attractive, affordable solution.

Third party does tune up and repair by companies such as On Sight Repairs does NOT invalidate new equipment warrantees/guarantees.

On Sight Repairs travels to homes throughout the South Shore of Massachusetts including Abington, Cohasset, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Hingham, Kingston, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Plymouth, Scituate, Rockland and Whitman.

On Sight Repairs was started by Scituate resident Earl Cogswell who learned small engine repair at one of the South Shore’s better-known resources where he was employed for over two decades.

Cogswell learned about the importance of maintaining lawn and garden equipment, but also realized there was no easy and inexpensive way to arrange for that annual maintenance or occasional repair. Thus, he launched On Sight Repairs with a well-stocked van outfitted with portable tools and a variety of commonly needed replacement parts. With less overhead, Cogswell typically charges 20 percent less than conventional repair centers.

On Sight Repairs is now franchising.  Thus, now those want to be the boss and enjoy their independence can have exclusive rights to their territory. To explore this business opportunity, contact On Sigh Repairs.

To obtain more information about On Sight Repairs, visit www.OnSightRepairs.com, email Earl@OnSightRepairs.net or call (781) 264-8448.

Lakefront Living International, LLC Adds New Hampshire to its Family of Lakefront Property Partners

July 12, 2022 //  by admin

MEREDITH, NH… New Hampshire is home to nearly 1,000 lakes and they are some of the cleanest and healthiest in the country. The lakes are a major attraction for visitors and residents. Popular lake activities include swimming, boating, and fishing. Since lakes in New Hampshire typically freeze during the winter, activities also include ice-fishing, ice-skating, and cross-country skiing.

Glenn and Angela Smith of Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group

Lakefront Living International, LLC has announced that the entire state of New Hampshire is being franchised by NH Broker, Glenn Smith and his wife, Angela Smith, also a Realtor. Their company, now known as Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group, is based in Meredith, NH.

“There are 273 lakes and ponds in the NH Lakes Region alone,” said Scott Freerksen, CEO of Lakefront Living International, “We’re honored to have Glenn and Angela’s passion for the lakes represented in this area.”

Although born and raised in Massachusetts, Glenn Smith thought of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region as “home.” He came to the Center Harbor area as a child where his family acted as caretakers of the Arbor Cabins. Every year, the day after school got out for summer break, the family packed up and came north to enjoy long fun filled days at “the lake.” Those memories stayed with him throughout his real estate career.

“Being an avid boater and fisherman has allowed me to develop a great respect and knowledge of the lakes and surrounding towns,” said Glenn Smith, now Broker of Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group, “It’s been a real pleasure introducing hundreds of clients to this beautiful area.”

Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in the state at 72 square miles and is located at the foothills of the White Mountains. It contains more than 200 miles of shoreline and 274 habitable islands.

Newfound Lake, which some say is among the cleanest in the world, is 4,106 acres in size and is considered one of the deepest lakes in New Hampshire (183-feet deep at one point). This pristine lake is about two and a half miles wide and seven miles in length.

“Squam Lake, the film site for ‘On Golden Pond,’ is known as one of the most peaceful and pristine in the country and offers visitors plenty of opportunity to enjoy its natural beauty,” said Angela Smith, Partner of Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group. “Big and Little Squam lakes are naturally spring fed and connected by a channel in Holderness. Big Squam is six miles long, four miles wide and 98 feet deep.”

Lakefront property prices in New Hampshire are as diverse as the properties themselves. Buyers can find land for sale on smaller lakes for $150,000, and mansions on Lake Winnipesaukee for up to $10,000,000.

The team at Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group can also connect NH lake home buyers with HGTV’s popular Lakefront Bargain Hunt show, now in its eighth year of production.

“The lakes and homes of New Hampshire are already populated on our website LakefrontLiving.com,” said Christine Mosier, COO of Lakefront Living International, “We’re thrilled to have Glenn and Angela represent Lakefront Living Realty as we continue to grow and offer the most passionate specialists in the country.”

LakefrontLiving.com displays all the homes for sale on the lakes it covers, not just the listings of any particular Broker, making it a one-stop shop for interested buyers. And unlike many real estate syndication sites on the web today, the site is always 100 percent accurate. In addition, the site provides the important details of the lakes themselves, ensuring buyers make informed and educated decisions.

Interested buyers and sellers can learn more about New Hampshire lakes and homes by contacting Glenn or Angela Smith of Lakefront Living Realty – The Smith Group at 603-233-7226.
