The new mobile-responsive site was developed with the latest web design technique, parallax scrolling, where the background moves at a slower rate to the foreground. This concept enables visitors to simply scroll the first page to learn Damon Topham’s whole story and the top reasons to utilize the firm’s services. The clean, well thought out design, which includes landscape imagery from Massachusetts, gives the tax and accounting firm’s website depth and warmth, while creating a memorable experience for visitors.

Marshfield Expert CPA John Topham to Co-Host Show on WATD

John Topham, CPA, a founding partner of Damon, Topham & Company, tax specialists based in Marshfield, MA, will appear as a co-host on Attorney Mark Greene’s “So What About That Law!” show on WATD 95.9 FM.

Topham recently co-hosted the law show with Greene, who is Principal Attorney at Mark Greene & Associates Attorneys & Family Counselors of Hanover, MA. Topham will discuss a wide range of tax related topics with Greene on the fourth Sunday of every month through June 2015. Topham’s next two scheduled broadcasts are December 28, 2014 and January 25, 2015.

Topham is a CPA registered in Massachusetts, and head of the Business Development team. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been the financial editor for the “New England Movers Magazine” and has authored numerous other articles. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College.

According to Topham, “There is no shortage of tax issues that may be addressed. To give you an example, since we are coming in to tax season, we’re often asked what business expenses are deductible? Business expenses must be ordinary and necessary and paid or incurred in carrying out required employment activities or duties. Key deductions would be auto and travel, meals and entertainment and miscellaneous employee business expenses. Miscellaneous employee business expenses would include high tech items such as laptops, smart phones, routers and Bluetooth devices.”

He continued, “The Sunday show is a great educational resource for tax and legal issues and we encourage folks to tune in.”

In his role, Tony will be full responsible for the Tax Department. His responsibilities will encompass the management of all personnel, administrative and compliance, issues relating to tax matters. He will oversee and review the preparation of all returns along with tax consultation and tax research services.

Tony advises high net worth individual clients, their businesses and families and works closely in providing tax, personal financial planning for these individuals and their closely held businesses, both in the domestic and international tax areas.

Previous to joining Damon, Topham & Company, Tony held a position Director of Tax for American Express Tax and Business Services and Tax Service Partner for BDO Seidman, LLC.

Jonathan C. Russell, CPA Joins Damon, Topham & Company of Marshfield

Jonathan C. Russell, CPA has joined Damon, Topham & Company, LLC of Marshfield, a full service multi-disciplined firm of Certified Public Accountants, providing accounting, taxation, business development and financial services.

In his new role, Russell will be responsible for firm quality control and overseeing firm compilation, review and audit engagements. He will also supervise the accounting and auditing staff.

Previous to Damon, Topham & Company, Russell worked for a well established CPA firm in Hingham, MA. Prior to that, he worked as a Boston based financial advisor, an accountant at Deloitte & Touche and as a financial analyst with MFS Investment Management.

Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Ithaca College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). He is also a licensed financial advisor and a Massachusetts licensed life insurance agent.

A native of Whitesboro, NY, Russell now resides in Marshfield with his wife and son.
