eLove

eLove captures Cupid and #1 matchmaker in coast-to-coast connection. Boston-based eLove acquires LA-based Cupid’s Coach.

September 30, 2010 //  by admin

Julie Ferman, Cupid's Coach
Julie Ferman of Cupid's Coach, now an eLove company

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND NORWELL, MASSACHUSETTS…

eLove, the fastest growing matchmaking firm in the country, recently acquired Cupid’s Coach, a Los Angeles-based matchmaking company. The addition of Cupid Coach’s two locations in Los Angeles and Westlake Village brings eLove’s total number of matchmaking offices to 50 nationwide.

“We’re positively thrilled with the addition of Cupid’s Coach for many reasons,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove. “Besides giving us a presence in a large market like LA, it gives us the opportunity to add one of the great matchmakers in the business today, Julie Ferman.”

As the principal of Cupid’s Coach, Julie Ferman has been in the matchmaking business for more than 20 years. She’s appeared on NBC’s “Match Off”, E’s “Kendra” and was recently awarded iDATE’s “Matchmaker of the Year Award”. Ferman is responsible for more than 1100 marriages.

The partnership with eLove makes sense for us on many levels,” said Ferman. “We are now the first dating company to offer our clients both traditional matchmaking through eLove’s existing model and mutual selection matchmaking, using detailed personal resumes and professional photos. Cupid’s Coach brings two other innovations to eLove’s higher level service offerings: ongoing coaching and personal recruiting. So, not only are we able to search for the right match from within eLove/Cupid’s Coach client base, but also through the passive referral members we proactively recruit through avenues such as events and affiliate referrals.”

To celebrate the merger, eLove and Cupid’s Coach will be hosting the Fall Magic Cocktail Mixer and Dance party on Saturday, October 2. The event, which goes from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., will be held at the Aqua Lounge at 424 N. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. The event will include:

  • Healthy light appetizers from 7p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • “ASK THE LOVE EXPERTS” open panel from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
  • FREE profile photo for Cupid’s Coach or eLove
  • Fun Rapid Mixer to meet tons of great people at 8:30 p.m.
  • Raffle prizes, tarot readings, massage and more!

Love Story II…How to get back into the dating game after a long marriage.

June 16, 2010 //  by admin

NORWELL, MA…

They may have been the inspiration for the movie Love Story, but after 40 years of marriage, Al and Tipper Gore are calling it quits. Unusual that a couple married that long is getting a divorce? Not as much as many might think.

“You’ve heard the 40 is the new 30? Well with people living longer, 60 is going to more like the old 45,” said Paul Falzone, CEO of eLove, one of the world’s largest online dating and  matchmaking services. “At 60, people realize they could live another 20 30 years and they make the choice not to stay in an unhappy marriage rather than ride it out.”

While some people may divorce at a later age to get away from their current spouse, it begs the question of whether there can be a sequel to Love Story?

“Yes, yes and yes,” said Falzone, once divorced and now happily remarried for several years. “Being older and going through a divorce really is no different than somebody who’s 30. It’s not a life experience you wanted, but it happens. Now, after licking your wounds, you’re ready to get out there and see if you can find a Love Story with a happier ending.”

For many, it’s not that easy. It could have been years, even decades since you last actively sought a date. So, where do you start?

Falzone recommends:

●       Going slow – perhaps it’s a cliché, but a divorce is a life-altering event and you do need some time to heal.

●       Avoid the bar scene – Getting out with friends and co-workers as a way to re-enter the social scene but don’t do it as a way to meet potential dates.

●       Get fit – Being ready to date again means feeling good about yourself. Starting an exercise program or going to a gym can begin that process of feeling good about  you again.

●       Be wary of dating at work – it’s natural for you to be close to people you work with, particularly if they’ve helped you through a tough time. Just be careful before entering into a relationship or even dating somebody at the office.

●       Networking – While being set up might not be your idea of getting back into the dating game, if you’re looking it couldn’t hurt to let people in your social or professional network know that you are interested in meeting new people.

●       The ex – It’s safe to say that dwelling on the ex will not do much good in dating new people. Just remember that you’re dating again for you, not to get back at him/her or to find somebody before he or she does.

●       Take your time before introducing your dates to friends and, especially family – if you think your divorce is an adjustment for you, it’s also one for family, friends and your children—even if they’re adults. Wait before introducing your date to them.

“No matter what your age, no matter how long you were married, getting back into the dating game doesn’t have to be scary. It can actually be an exciting time of your new life but you want to do it for the right reasons and be able to enjoy it,” said Falzone. “Take it slow, be open and upbeat, and you can find love again.”

eLove Honors Single Dads with Complimentary Dating Membership

June 3, 2010 //  by admin

Did you know that the number of single dads in the U.S. has increased to nearly 2.5 million? (U.S. Census Bureau, 2006) As Father’s Day quickly approaches, it’s time to honor those special guys who “step up to the plate”.

eLove, the first company within the dating industry to offer both online dating and matchmaking services tailored around their clients’ stage of life, is offering complimentary eLove Select memberships to Boston and Baltimore area single fathers who set an appointment during the month of June.

An eLove Select membership is designed for singles who are ready to take positive steps to finding their perfect match, yet who are not quite ready to work one-on-one with an eLove matchmaker. An eLove Select membership helps singles make a strong first impression by separating and distinguishing them from the online dating crowd with a Platinum Certified seal. The seal is indicative of three important factors online daters seek while searching for their perfect match: that a member has been verified by eLove; s/he is motivated and serious about finding a relationship and s/he has completed an identity and background check. This all results in more contacts and more first dates for eLove Select members.

As a special complimentary service to eLove Select members, they will be made available to eLove matchmakers as possible candidates to eLove’s private “search” clientele. This expands eLove Select members’ opportunity to find the right one.

“We’re looking to help out the single dad who is ready for a relationship,” explained Paul Falzone, CEO of eLove.

Single dads from the Boston and Baltimore area can simply call Kim at 800-713-3317 to set an appointment.

In addition to the complimentary eLove Select membership, Falzone, who is a father of two, offers several tips to women dating who are dating a single dad on how to celebrate Father’s day:

Be sure to check with a single Dad first. Before you make any plans with your single dad on Father’s Day, check in with him first. As him what he really wants to do, and then do what you can to make it happen for him.

Nap time. So, your stressed-out single dad said he’d like nothing more than to lounge on the couch, watch sports and take a nap on Father’s Day. Good for him. Do what you can to give him that much needed time to himself. Arrange for a babysitter or offer to take his child(ren) out for the afternoon.

A “Dad” excursion. If Dad just loves to scheme up grand plans on weekends and holidays, then Father’s Day is no exception. If he wants the “whole gang” to attend a pro baseball game or go camping, fishing, golfing, deep sea diving or on some other adventure, go along with it and help him out. On the other hand, if your single dad really detests having to plan things, then plan the day. Be sure to check with his children first, to gauge their interest and ensure the day is a success.

Dine out. Unless your busy single dad’s favorite past-time is cooking, make his day exceptional by cooking his favorite meal or taking him to the restaurant of his choice. Be sure to call the restaurant ahead of time to make a reservation, if possible, in order to avoid an extensive wait.

Commemorate the day. Whether his favorite thing is power tools, software and electronics, golf or good cigars, a thoughtful gift of something he truly enjoys will mark the day for your single dad sweetheart and show him how special he is. If your single dad has young children, try to get them involved in celebrating Father’s Day by encouraging them to make their own cards or gifts. Talk with his older children to find out what they have planned for their dad and ask if they need help.

Love on the run…eLove offers portability options for singles

May 24, 2010 //  by admin

NORWELL, MA…

One of the primary reasons matchmaking services exist is that so many singles are busy with their careers—either from workload, travel or both—it’s difficult to meet that special someone.  eLove, one of the world’s largest online dating and brick-and-mortar dating services in the world recently added a portability feature to its matchmaking service for busy singles who find themselves away on business or for other reasons for long stretches of time.

eLove has matchmaking offices in 23 states. eLove matchamaking clients can utilize their membership at any of those offices. So if an eLove client from the Saddle Brook, New Jersey office goes away on business to Washington DC for an extended period, he or she can use the eLove matchmaking services out of the Falls Church, Virginia or Columbia, Maryland offices.

“Just because you’re away on business doesn’t mean your personal life has to come to a screeching halt,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove. “The portability of our matchmaking memberships means you can utilize our services at any of our 45 offices, almost all of which are either in or reasonably close to metropolitan areas.”

In addition to the portability of its matchmaking services, eLove also offers online dating services, which connects singles across the United States. eLove’s online dating site gives users the capability of targeting singles by a geographic area—another handy tool if you know you’re going to be in a certain area for a prolonged period on business or vacation.

“You only get one life. And as important as careers are, all work and no play is not a healthy combination,” said Falzone. “By offering portability with our matchmaking services and the capabilities of our online dating site, singles do have a choice as to whether an extended business trip can be all business or have some fun mixed in.”

eLove Rolls Out Unique Online Dating Membership Known as eLove Select in Boston and Baltimore Markets

April 23, 2010 //  by admin

eLove, the first company within the dating industry to offer both online dating and matchmaking services tailored around the stage of life their clients are in, recently announced the availability of “eLove Select” a new level of membership, in the Boston and Baltimore markets.

Designed for singles who are ready to take positive steps to finding their perfect match, yet who are not quite ready to work one-on-one with an eLove matchmaker, eLove Select allows singles to take a few extra steps to really enhance their online dating experience.

elove Select membership helps singles make a strong first impression by separating them from the online dating crowd by giving them the distinction of a Platinum Certified seal attached to all their correspondences within the online community. The Platinum Certified seal is indicative of three things that are important to other online daters who are looking to find their perfect match: that a member has been verified by eLove; s/he is motivated and serious about finding a relationship and s/he has completed an identity and background check.

Not only does this result in more contacts and first dates, an eLove Select member’s profile is also made available to eLove matchmakers. This means that qualified eLove Select members will also be considered as potential candidates for eLove’s private search clientele.

There are a few special requirements of eLove Select members and that includes meeting with an eLove representative and undergoing an identity and criminal background check. elove Select members must also complete eLove’s online registration and compatibility analysis and have a photo taken or validated. elove Select memberships are the only service of this kind offering the security and credibility of offline dating at the low cost of online dating.

“eLove Select online dating members are better able to set themselves apart and make it known that they are serious about finding that someone special. Plus, the Platinum Certification provides that additional level of assurance to others online that these members really are who they say they are,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove. “We’re rolling this program out in the Boston and Baltimore markets first, but it will soon be available throughout the rest of the country.”

elove was recently named one of the top three U.S. matchmakers at the 2010 Internet Dating & Matchmaking Conference (iDate) held in Miami earlier this year. iDate is one of the matchmaking industry’s largest events for Online Dating and Social Networking business management. The 2010 iDate Awards were voted on by industry experts and the general public.

Green Dating 101

April 22, 2010 //  by admin

Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove

NORWELL, MA…

In a world where everyone is trying to do things in a greener, more environmentally friendly way, it makes perfect sense that dating would follow suit. And with nearly 90 million single adults over the 18 in the U.S. alone, how singles go about finding dates and what they do on dates greatly dictates their carbon footprint.

So what exactly constitutes “green dating”? That really depends on your outlook. There are online dating sites specifically for people who prefer to date other green-oriented singles (e.g. vegans). Yet much like individual opinions vary on what’s green, so does the interpretation of what constitutes “green” dating.

“Much like beauty, it’s in the eye of the beholder,” said Paul A. Falzone, CEO of eLove– the first company within the dating industry offering both online dating and matchmaking services. “But if you’re trying to live a greener lifestyle overall, there are ways you can incorporate that into your dating life.”

Falzone recommends:

  • Turning off your computer after you’re done looking online for potential dates.
  • If you’re meeting somebody on a first date, perhaps you can meet at a venue within walking distance or near public transportation.
  • If a green lifestyle is important to you, be sure to incorporate that into your online dating profile.
  • Volunteer for charitable endeavors in your community as a way to meet potential mates rather than getting into your automobile and bar hopping.
  • Instead of getting in a car and going out to dinner, make your first a trip to the local farmer’s market—then bring the food back home to eat in.
  • Order organic foods and spirits when dining out.
  • If you’re giving flowers to date, take note of the time of year. Giving flowers off season—like during the winter—most likely means the flowers were shipped from some other part of the world. Chocolates will most certainly do during a flower’s off season.
  • Don’t get involved in a long-distance relationship—if you can help it. A long-distance relationship between somebody going back and forth from Washington D.C. to New York City can contribute 18 million metric tons of carbon dioxide a year. In theory, it’s just as easy to fall in love with somebody down the street.

“I think most people are trying to live a greener lifestyle, but when it comes to matters of the heart we don’t always think that we can do that greener, too,” said Falzone. “By following just a few of these guidelines, you can find that special someone or enjoying a meaningful relationship and reduce your carbon footprint.”
