New staff members include:
Chelsea Coty recently started as an assistant program director in Nonotuck’s offices in the Berkshires. Previously, she had worked at various human service agencies, including the Brien Center in Pittsfield and the Key Program (Pittsfield), as well as interning at the Rape Crisis Center of Worcester and the Twin Cities Community Development Corporation of Fitchburg. A native of Lee, Massachusetts, Coty holds a bachelor’s of science in sociology from Fitchburg State University.
V. Mahi Swan, RN, a South Hadley resident, joins Nonotuck’s South Hadley office after working many years in the Pioneer Valley. She has a background in skilled nursing homecare for both adults and children, and providing nursing oversight in Adult Family Care for several years. Swan received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University’s School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.
“The people we hire eventually play a very important role in the lives of the families we serve, literally becoming like a member of the family. We take that importance quite seriously when hiring new people,” said George Fleischner, executive director of Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc. “Chelsea and Mahi are great examples of the caliber of professionals we’re looking for to help our clients.”
