Staff at King Collision Centers in Raynham Becomes I-CAR Gold Class Certified Professionals

King Collision Centers (http://www.kingcollision.com) providers of collision repair services to thousands of customers south of Boston, recently announced that the staff in their Raynham location has obtained the trusted I-CAR Gold Class certification. King Collision Centers is one of the only collision repair shops in Massachusetts with I-CAR certified staff.

King Collision’s staff from the Raynham collision repair shop has attained I-CAR Gold Class certification, which is one of the highest levels of certification obtainable within the Collision Repair Industry. I-CAR is a world wide, not-for-profit training organization that is renowned for training collision repair technicians and insurance company appraisers on original vehicle manufacturer recommended repair procedures, for restoring collision damaged vehicles back to pre-accident operation, safety and value.

In their commitment to excellence in their profession and dedication to the consumer, King Collision invested $45K overall for staff training in I-CAR’s latest collision repair technologies in order for them to become certified through the I-CAR training program as Gold Class Professionals.

Kevin Ouellette Named Manager of King Collision Center in Raynham

King Collision Center (http://www.kingcollision.com) providers of collision repair services to thousands of customers south of Boston, has recently named Kevin Ouellette as Manager of their Raynham location.

Ouellette, who is an Attleboro resident, will oversee operations at King’s third and newest location on Route 44 in Raynham.

Ouellette holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine. After earning his degree in 2005, he attended U.S. Army flight training at Fort Rucker, AL. He was awarded his U.S. Army Aviator Badge in June, 2007. As a newly appointed Aviation Officer and UH-60 Black Hawk pilot he was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq from 2008 to 2009. Ouellette is the recipient of the U.S. Army Air Medal, which was awarded for participation in Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) operations while serving in Iraq.

Ouellette is now a member of the Connecticut National Guard. His new position as King Collision’s Manager is his first full time position after three years of active duty. Upon his return from active duty, Ouellette began looking for an engineering or management job. He had always had an interest in vehicles in general and when he saw King Collision’s ad for a manager, he applied.

“Kevin is an outstanding young man with proven leadership skills he developed while in service to our country. With the combination of Kevin’s caring, outgoing friendly personality, and Mechanical Engineering degree he was an easy choice for us to fill this important position. I’m very proud and pleased to have Kevin as a member of the King Collision team,” noted Bruce King, President of King Collision Centers.

Ouellette is a native of Raymond, ME.

King Collision Center recently celebrated the grand opening of their third location, which is situated on the Mastria Auto Group campus at 81 Brookside Circle (Route 44) in Raynham, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and Open House.

The event was well received and over 100 people attended including those in the insurance industry and vendors.

King Collision’s Raynham staff includes: Kevin Ouellette of Attleboro who manages the location, Louis Resendes of Fall River, Pedro Flores of Carver, Angelo Alves of Brockton, Brian Couto of Fall River, Matt Albergaria of Taunton, Brendan Donahue of Plymouth, Mike Mann of Lakeville, Karen Cloran of Plymouth, Jerry Blakeman of Whitman, Shannon Morrissey of Bridgewater, John Davis of Taunton and John Ladd of Middleborough.

For more than 20 years, King Collision Center has catered to thousands of customers on the South Shore and the Cape at their two locations in Pembroke and Plymouth. Their newest location is the result of a strategic alliance between King Collision Centers and Mastria Auto Group. King Collision Centers Go Green

King Collision Centers (http://www.kingcollision.com) which caters to thousands of collision repair customers at their Plymouth, Pembroke and Raynham locations, is proud to announce they are “going green”. King Collision has made significant environmentally-conscious modifications at each of their locations.

Bruce King, owner of King Collision Centers , is striving to lead the way in the collision repair industry by incorporating a comprehensive recycling program at all three locations.  The company not only participates in the traditional recycling of paper, cardboard, plastic, fluorescent bulbs and printer ink cartridges; they also recycle sheet and scrap metal, tires, used parts, filters, radiators, bumpers, headlights, aluminum and total loss cars. Waste oil, antifreeze, paints, thinners and batteries are recycled by a licensed waster hauler. Essentially, King Collision produces no hazardous waste and anything that can be recycled, will be.

King Collision uses state-of-the-art spray guns, paint gun washers and a paint mixing system which reduces overall product waste and are better for the environment.

The company is always on the lookout for additional ways to preserve the environment and is considering switching to water bond paint for collision damaged vehicles in the future.

“We’d really like to bring this full circle. So, in addition to recycling and switching to products that are environmentally friendly; we’re also looking at more ways to improve energy efficiency,” explained King.

King Collision Center looking to incorporate a high school Apprentice Program

Students in the Cooperative Education Program at Plymouth South High School learned about the vast career options in the collision repair industry during a recent tour of King Collision Center in Plymouth (http://www.kingcollision.com).

Seven Plymouth South students enrolled in the auto body repair program at the high school were able to get a first-hand look at King’s operations; tour the repair shop and ask plenty of questions. They learned about the numerous career opportunities at King Collision Centers, which range from managerial and customer care positions to those in collision repair, paint/refinish and detailing to Licensed Damage Appraiser positions.

“We’re in the process of developing an Apprentice Program at King Collision Centers to mentor teens who are in collision repair and graphic arts programs in high school. Those involved in our Apprentice Program would have the opportunity to work for King on a part-time basis,” explained Bruce King, president of the family owned business.

The company is looking to incorporate an Apprentice Program at their shops in Plymouth and Pembroke and is set to begin talks with the cooperative education program liaisons at the high schools in those towns.

“We’d like to have a program in place by 2010,” noted King.
