September 4, 2024 //  by admin

BROCKTON AND PLYMOUTH, MA… Old Colony Elder Services (OCES), the largest provider of in-home and community-based services for older adults and people living with disabilities in Southeastern Massachusetts, has been awarded a three-year grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs to support the expansion of their behavioral health program and service area.

Formerly known as Elder Mental Health Outreach Team (EMHOT) and Elder Mobile Outreach Team (EMOT), Massachusetts’ behavioral health program for older adults is now known as Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations.

Behavioral Health Outreach for Aging Populations
Through this program, behavioral health clinicians provide in-depth assessments and develop care plans that may include individualized counseling, referrals, and care coordination with community resources. Services are provided directly to the consumer. Clinicians can meet them at their home or at a site that is convenient for the consumer, such as a nearby park.

OCES’ service area for this program has expanded beyond the Greater Brockton communities and now includes Bridgewater, Lakeville, Middleboro and Wareham. The program also provides care coordination, education, information, referrals and connections to community services. There is also information and referrals available for families of people with behavioral health needs.

“This critical funding enables our agency to expand support for older adults and individuals with disabilities who may be isolated or encounter barriers that limit access to behavioral health services,” said Nicole Long, CEO.

Long continued, “OCES provides essential services and is an important resource for older adults, people with disabilities, families, caregivers, and the larger community. We are dedicated to, and passionate about, helping others and improving lives.”

Spherehead Pillow collaborates with Smithfield, RI Chiropractor to help patients with sleep challenges

August 26, 2024 //  by admin

SMITHFIELD AND WARWICK, RI… Spherehead Pillow is collaborating with Dr. Lorri Haber-DiBoni of Haber-DiBoni Chiropractic in Smithfield, RI, to help patients with sleep challenges.

Dr. Haber-DiBoni, a chiropractor for more than 20 years who leads the family-focused practice located at 14 Cedar Swamp Rd. in Smithfield, recommends the Spherehead Pillow to her patients experiencing sleep issues.

“I was having terrible trouble with my pillow and about to invest in a new down pillow when I heard about the Spherehead Pillow,” explained Dr. Haber-DiBoni. “As a Chiropractor, I was curious because the Spherehead Pillow looked different than any other pillow on the market. I liked it from the first night and have been sleeping comfortably on it for a month now. It’s important for people to have a good pillow. I’m very pleased with the Spherehead Pillow and have already recommended it to several patients who were experiencing sleep issues.”

Founder and visionary Alizah Josette, a Warwick, RI resident and paralegal, struggled to find an adequate pillow that would allow unrestricted movement but prevent harmful twists and strains of the head and neck muscles. Through her persistence, dedication and numerous prototypes, she unlocked the secret to a soothing night’s sleep – a pillow that cradles and supports the head and neck, promotes alignment of the spine, and allows flexibility of sleeping positions.

Round and scooped out, the patented Spherehead Pillow offers a unique physical shape and physical benefits. Within a week, most users adapt and blossom.

Spherehead’s innovative design offers restorative sleep every night by providing gentle support of the head and neck and promoting proper spine alignment. Spherehead’s unique design embraces sleeping habits and benefits the body. The Spherehead memory foam pillow cradles the head and mirrors the natural curve of the cervical spine. Back sleepers enjoy unrestricted movement, while Spherehead prevents damaging twists and turns of the head and neck allowing muscles to relax and unwind.

According to Alizah Josette, “Spherehead’s memory foam pillows are crafted to collaborate with chiropractic principles, promoting proper alignment of the spine and muscular wellbeing.”

The Spherehead pillow does not interfere with any sleep apparatus, such as an eye mask or a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. Side sleepers appreciate the gentle contour of the Spherehead pillow that rests along the curve of the cheek, ensuring the face is unobstructed. The 100 percent Charmeuse pillowcase, which comes with the pillow, is beneficial for all hair types. While the pillowcase is machine washable and durable, the smooth material bolsters healthy hair and helps prevent breakage.

The Spherehead Pillow is now available onsite at the office of Haber-DiBoni Chiropractic, as well as through affinity partner, Dr. Michael Gottfried at Aquidneck Chiropractic, 1272 West Main Street, Building 2, Middletown, RI.

Additional chiropractic practices, physical therapy offices and sleep study locations will be introducing the Spherehead Pillow to patients.

Spherehead Pillow is partnering with chiropractors and other healthcare professionals to make the pillow readily available. Those interested in affinity partnership to offer this innovative sleep support directly to patients or clients, are encouraged to visit Spherehead Pillow’s website, https://sphereheadpillow.com

The Spherehead Pillow (retail $59.99) is also available for purchase online at sphereheadpillow.com as well as Amazon.com.

Talk is king. New program offers Talk Marketing training for Marketing Firms. Talk tips the scales.

August 2, 2024 //  by admin

Now marketing firm personnel can talk the talk and walk the walk.

McDougall Interactive, based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, is rolling out new Talk Marketing Academy courses to provide comprehensive SEO training for existing advertising and marketing agency personnel .

The new self-guided courses offers a step-by-step process. Participants can choose from a SEO business course on how podcasting and video optimization can skyrocket results;  how to start and grow an SEO business without the expense of office space, software and employees; implementing podcasting and video to generate valuable web content that satisfies Google EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness); how to develop a SEO sales deck; and a weekly group coaching/strategy session.

The courses also teach marketing firms how to get their first SEO clients and how to build a scalable freelance service or office-free agency.

The online series is hosted by Skool. Skool is a community platform that’s optimized for learning. No ads, distractions, or noise. A clean, well-organized place to learn things, make friends, and have fun.

John McDougall, a multi-award-winning marketer, crystallizes his 27 years of SEO experience into the Talk Marketing Golden Ticket program. The program includes sales and proposal templates, SEO checklists and No B.S. Artificial Intelligence SEO secrets (how to avoid poorly executed AI content that dooms your efforts).

What is more believable, memorable and compelling than an imperfect podcast, YouTube video, blog or E-book with the subject expert? Subject matter expertise, testimonials and case studies tell the story – in video, blogs, posts, web content and more, of course. Talk Marketing is talking it through and breaking through the clutter.

How long does it take to become an SEO expert?  Promote yourself marketing agency or your first client?   The student determines that timeframe.  The online programs are designed to be mastered in less than a month. The monthly strategy sessions are most effective with a one-year commitment.

John McDougall is a second-generation marketing guru.  His dad ran the 6th largest ad agency in New England.  John continues the family magic with talking digital marketing and SEO to the next level.

McDougall has authored three books including “Talk Marketing”, “Web Marketing On All Cylinders – Click Start Your Online Presence” and “Content Marketing and SEO for Law Firms.”

McDougall and his agency are elite Google partners and have been invited, all expenses paid to Google headquarters in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

He was there in 1995 when the Internet was just starting to hum.  And he has continued to innovate along with the new channel.

How PR worked for the Jackson Yelle Family Foundation

photo of Scott Yelle of the Jackson Yelle Family Foundation, a nonprofit

July 25, 2024 //  by admin

A PR Works Case Study

Overview

PR Works developed and executed a campaign strategy that helped a non-profit, the Jackson Yelle Family Foundation, raise nearly $30,000 on its MLB Stadium Tour initiative.

Background

The Jackson Yelle Family Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation formed after the tragic death of Jackson Yelle. A member of Elon University’s club baseball program, 21-year-old Jackson was killed by a hit-and-run driver in April 2023. His family created the Jackson Yelle Family Foundation to keep his memory alive and support causes Jackson would believe in.

As a baseball player and fan, Jackson and his father Scott Yelle visited 12 of the 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. Scott came up with the idea to visit the remaining 18 stadiums as part of a fundraising initiative. The beneficiary would be Major League Baseball’s Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), a program that supports the development of young men and women through baseball and softball.

The Game Plan

Over the first three months of the 2024 season, Scott Yelle visited each of the 18 MLB stadiums, presenting each team and their representatives with a $1,000 check for the Nike RBI program in that particular city.

The Goal

The trip would cost $25,000. The Foundation wanted to cover that cost, which included donations to the Nike RBI program, and raise monies towards additional worthy causes.

How PR Works worked

Working with a very modest budget, we developed the following PR materials:

  • Launch press release for national and local media in The Foundations home market (Boston) and the 18 MLB stadium markets.
  • Press kit, including feature story angles and media library
  • Individual releases for each MLB market prior to Scott’s visit

PR Works also provided media outreach and consultation to Scott and the Foundation as media opportunities arose.

Coverage

photo of Scott Yelle of the Jackson Yelle Family Foundation appearing on MLB Central

Through the diligent efforts of Scott Yelle, the campaign received broadcast and print coverage in all 18 markets and extensive coverage in the Boston market, the Foundation’s base. Here’s a sample of the coverage:

  • WBZ/Boston Radio
  • Boston Herald
  • Cape Cod Times
  • Fox-13 – Tampa
  • MLB Central
  • Seattle TV
  • WCOP / Cincinnati
  • Yahoo Sports
  • NBC 10 Philly
  • Arizona Sports
  • Boston Globe
  • NBC New York
  • Who’s on First: YouTube Show
  • WFMY / NC

The jewel in this crown of coverage was a 10-minute Father’s Day documentary on MLB Central.

Conclusion

The entire fundraiser generated $28,676, exceeding the initial goal of $25,000. There have been other milestones:

  • Scott Yelle invited to and attended MLB’s Play Ball weekend in New York
  • Scott Yelle invited to the Nike RBI World Series in August 2024
  • Scott has been recognized at stadiums and on transportation as the guy touring MLB stadiums to honor his son.
  • Talk of touring the original 12 MLB stadiums next year to donate money to those Nike RBI programs

“PR Works helped me spread the word about our fundraising baseball tour to honor my son. They made it seamless for us by reaching out to the media in various cities so I could focus on the MLB Stadium tour and the PR I was receiving. I know of over 10 media opportunities that came from their help! We raised just shy of $30,000 with their help!” —Scott Yelle, Jackson Yelle Family Foundation
