BASKING RIDGE, NJ…  More than 40 business neighbors and chamber members attended Contemporary Dermatology’s After Hours/Ribbon Cutting event held in collaboration with the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce on May 20, 2026.

The event celebrated Contemporary Dermatology’s new office in Basking Ridge, conveniently located at 100 Marketplace, 25 Mountainview Blvd, Unit 206-B.

The new Basking Ridge office provides medical and aesthetic dermatology services to patients in Somerset County and beyond. 

Founded and led by Dr. Robert Nossa, a board-certified dermatologist, Contemporary Dermatology combines advanced medical knowledge with the latest technologies to offer comprehensive care.

HYANNIS, MARSTONS MILLS AND PLYMOUTH, MA… Zoe Ongaro, a certified Physician Assistant, has joined the medical staff of Contemporary Dermatology in Hyannis, MA.  She is a resident of Boston, MA.

Serving the South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands, Contemporary Dermatology has state-of-the-art offices in Marstons Mills, the Pinehills, Plymouth, and their newest location which opened late last year in Festival Shopping Plaza, Hyannis, MA.

In her new role at Contemporary Dermatology, Ongaro will focus on general and surgical dermatology and the management of dermatologic conditions ranging from acne, eczema, and psoriasis to skin cancer and other complex skin disorders.

She is accepting new patients and scheduling appointments for the spring.

Ongaro graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from the George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston. 

Her dermatology experience previous to Contemporary Dermatology includes clinical experience at Integrated Dermatology in Washington, D.C. and Dermatologic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Ongaro is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) in addition to Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants.

HINGHAM, HYANNIS, MARSTONS MILLS AND PLYMOUTH, MA… Dr. Michael Shaughnessy, a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon has joined Contemporary Dermatology.

Serving the South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands, Contemporary Dermatology has state-of-the-art offices in the Pinehills, Plymouth and Marstons Mills, and has recently opened a third office in Festival Shopping Plaza, 1070 Iyannough Road, Unit 50 in Hyannis, MA.

Dr. Shaughnessy will provide medical and surgical dermatology in Contemporary Dermatology’s new Hyannis office and Mohs Micrographic surgical clinic and in the Pinehills Plymouth office and Mohs Micrographic surgical clinic. He is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Shaughnessy is a double board-certified physician in both dermatology and Mohs surgery, and an expert in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, including the surgical removal of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and more rare types of skin cancer. He specializes in cosmetic reconstructive techniques, such as the use of skin flaps and grafts.

Dr. Shaughnessy graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology from Duke University prior to receiving his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and dermatology residency at the prestigious Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Program training at MGH, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Shaughnessy completed a fellowship in Cutaneous Oncology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University.

Dr. Shaughnessy’s research has primarily focused on melanoma in addition to basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on skin cancer.

Dr. Shaughnessy is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery in addition to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa Honors societies.

He is a Hingham resident.

MARSTONS MILLS, PLYMOUTH AND YARMOUTH PORT, MA… Contemporary Dermatology has announced Meghan Macleod, a Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician, has joined their team.

Contemporary Dermatology provides comprehensive dermatology services including medical dermatology, skin cancer treatments and Mohs surgery and aesthetic services at their Marstons Mills and Plymouth locations.

In her new role, Macleod will provide a range of cosmetic services that include Hydrafacial, chemical peels and state-of-the-art laser treatments including Nordlys Platform with Frax Pro and RF Microneedling with MatrixPro.

Previous to joining Contemporary Dermatology, Macleod’s experience includes three years as a Licensed Aesthetician at Laser Aesthetics of Cape Cod, a med spa located in Hyannis, MA.

Macleod graduated from Curry College, Milton, MA in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts Early Childhood Education and Teaching – Special Education. Macleod’s passion for skin care led to additional education at Spa Tech Institute of Plymouth where she received Aesthetician Certification in 2020.

A native of Yarmouth Port, MA and a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, Macleod resides in West Yarmouth, MA. Outside of the dermatology practice, Macleod enjoys running half marathons and supporting charity race events.

PLYMOUTH AND SANDWICH, MA… Alexis Tam, a certified Physician Assistant, has joined the medical staff of Contemporary Dermatology in Plymouth, MA.  She is a resident of Sandwich, MA.
 
In her new role at Contemporary Dermatology, Tam will focus on general and surgical dermatology in the treatment of skin conditions ranging from acne, psoriasis and eczema to complex dermatological disorders and skin cancer.
 
Tam holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Molecular Biology from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Worcester. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
 
Previous to joining Contemporary Dermatology, Tam’s experience includes one year at Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center of Cape Cod in Hyannis, MA, where she served as a surgical assistant for Mohs surgery prior to earning her MPAS, and after certification served as a Physician Assistant.
