North students mean business…Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac recognizes Plymouth North marketing students.

February 21, 2011 //  by admin

PLYMOUTH, MA…

In business, success or failure is marked by the bottom line. For Plymouth North students involved in the Technical Studies marketing program, that bottom line is the DECA competition. Judging by the six marketing students earning gold medals at the regional DECA competition held earlier this year, the Plymouth North Marketing is a smashing success and worthy recipient of this month’s Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac Driven Student of the Month award for December.

“DECA is an international organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe,” said Kathy Schram, advisor to the Plymouth North marketing students. “While it’s impressive enough that we had six first-place winners, what’s even more impressive is that we’ll have 45 members of the marketing class competing in the statewide DECA competition next month.”

For being selected Driven Students of the Month, upper classmen in the marketing class were treated to a pizza party, courtesy of Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac. In addition, each participating student received a Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac drink koozie. Students recognized included: Michael Ahlstedt, Jared Bramhall, Nick Boutin, Emily Cleland, Hannah Conley, Jared Cullivan, Calvin Ellis, Brian Fasanello, Sean Folan, Andrew Gallant, Vicky Gilmore, Cam Groezinger, Gemma Henderson, Pat Horgan, Dan Leary, Madison McCormack, Jay McStowe, Trevor Metcalfe, James Mitchell, Jessica Morgan, John Myette, Tony Perry, Emily Pickett, Shannon Raeke, Casey Reilly, Nick Santos, Ashley Saunders,  and Robert Wallace.

“With the Driven Student program, we try to recognize students whose outstanding work has flown under the radar and the marketing group definitely falls under that category,” said Jeff Tracy, president of Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac. “By honoring the marketing students as our Driven Students of the month, we’re remedying that a little, plus giving them a proper send off for the statewide competition next month.”

Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac’s Driven Student program recognizes Plymouth high school students for their performance and achievements in and out of the classroom. Awarded on a monthly basis, recipients are selected by faculty and advisors at the student’s given school.
