KINGSTON, MA…

For more than 40 years Nonotuck Resource Associates has helped transform the lives of hundreds of people with intellectual and physical disabilities by offering the personalized service of shared living and Adult Family Care. To meet the ever increasing demand from families for these non-traditional, value based services, Nonotuck has added staff at its South Shore regional office.

New staff members include:

Si Pan Leong, RN, recently began at Nonotuck’s Kingston, MA office. A resident of East Boston, Leong holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Fluent in Cantonese, Leong previously worked at the V.A. Hospital of Boston and has done clinical rotations at Children’s Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Tufts Medical Center.

Tom Maloney, RN, comes to Nonotuck with more than 25 years experience as a registered nurse working with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Shriver Center in Waltham, the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown and L.A.D.D.E.R.S. in Cambridge, MA. A South Easton resident, he was recognized in 2010 as an ARC Distinguished Citizen for work with families and autism.

Elisangela Anes, RN, started with Nonotuck after receiving her associate’s degree in nursing from Massasoit Community College in Brockton—she also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Anes’ clinical experience includes stints at both Brockton Hospital and South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. A Brockton resident, she is fluent in Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese and conversational Spanish.

Djena Jacques comes to Nonotuck as an AFC Care Manager after years working for Project Hope in the Roxbury section of Boston as a family day care coordinator.  She has also worked as a lead teacher and counselor throughout the Boston area. A Weymouth, Massachusetts resident, Jacques  holds a bachelor’s degree in human services from Cambridge College in Cambridge (MA) and is also a team member for Haitian Earthquake Aid and Relief.

“It requires a special type of person to provide the care we offer at Nonotuck. Si, Tom, Lisa and Djena share that gene that makes them committed and compassionate caregivers. We are fortunate to have them for the families we work with on the South Shore,” said George Fleischner, executive director of Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc.

Nonotuck offers Shared Living, Adult Family Care and Day Services for families who choose to care for their loved ones suffering with Alzheimer’s, autism, brain injuries, cancer, muscular dystrophy and other intellectual and physical disabilities at home. Based in Florence, Nonotuck has offices in Central and Western Massachusetts as well as on Boston’s South Shore and on Cape Cod. An office in the Boston area will open later in 2013.
