Sally Burke, M.S. Ed., BCBA, Director of Early Intervention at Behavioral Concepts (BCI), a company of behavioral clinicians specializing in the care of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout Massachusetts, has been honored with the “Distinguished Teaching Award” from Bay Path University.
Burke is an Adjunct Professor for Bay Path University and has been teaching for five years. The School of Education and Health and Human Services nominated Burke to be awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award and she was recognized at Bay Path University’s annual Faculty Recognition and Appreciation Dinner on May 20, 2019 at the Springfield Country Club.
“I’m very passionate about teaching and honored to receive this special recognition,” said Burke.
For more than 15 years, Burke has been serving children diagnosed with special needs. She joined BCI 12 years ago as Clinical Coordinator and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) before being promoted to Director of Early Intervention.
Burke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Westfield State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Simmons College in Boston. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a member of Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT). Burke has previously presented at the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
Burke’s articles about autism have been published in Autism Parenting Magazine and Baystate Parent magazine.
