QUINCY, MA…
Stars, a non-profit child and youth development program, recently named Kevin Freytag, a Pembroke resident and attorney at Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro, P.C., as one of its Top 40 under 40 South Shore professionals for 2013.
First launched in 2010 to mark Stars’ 40th anniversary, the 40 Under 40 Awards recognize 40 emerging South Shore leaders under the age of 40 for their professional accomplishments, civic engagement and demonstrated leadership potential. This year’s awards will be presented at a gala tented reception to be held at 7 p.m. September 27 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy. FOX25 Anchor Sorboni Banerjee, a Quincy resident, will once again serve as emcee for the award festivities.
“We’re delighted at the selection of Kevin to Stars’ Top 40 Under 40,” said Paul Barbadoro, Esq. a partner at the Firm. “We knew Kevin had great talent and potential when we hired him after his tenure as an assistant district attorney in the Norfolk County DA’s office. It’s nice to see him receive this kind of recognition for his work as an attorney and as a public servant.”
As an associate at Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro, P.C., Freytag assists clients in the areas of criminal and civil litigation, including juvenile and adult criminal defense, registry of motor vehicle appeals, personal injury, residential and commercial landlord-tenant law, post-foreclosure illegal occupancy and construction law. As part of his litigation practice, he has represented clients in alternative dispute resolution, including binding arbitration.
In addition to his work at the Firm, Freytag is a Board Member of the Pembroke Historical Society and a Trustee of the Friend’s Meeting House in Pembroke. He received his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College and his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and is admitted to practice in all state courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
“It’s truly an honor to be selected for the Top 40 Under 40 honors from an organization like Stars, which is doing such great work with kids on the South Shore,” said Freytag.
Stars provides comprehensive early education and youth programs that help children across the South Shore reach their full developmental potential. From Early Head Start and preschool to K-12 and summer camp programs, Stars works collaboratively with families to foster positive youth development. Proceeds from the reception will benefit Stars’ early education and youth development programs for children across the South Shore.
