Action Bearing Gets Technical with Comprehensive Online Toolbox

March 14, 2011 //  by admin

Action Bearing, a Boston based bearing company catering to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) markets throughout New England, has developed a new “Technical Toolbox” informational and troubleshooting section on their website, Actionbearing.com.

Action Bearing’s online Technical Toolbox provides bearing customers with a number of tools to facilitate their bearing requirements.

Bearing Failure Analysis Tool
The accurate diagnosis of a bearing failure is imperative to prevent repeated failures along with additional expense. Action Bearing has incorporated a unique “Bearing Failure Analysis” diagnostic section, complete with illustrations, where customers can quickly and easily analyze the bearing that failed in-house. Customers can now go online and identify the problem they are having with their bearing and determine why it failed. Then they’ll learn how to correct it in order to prevent future failure and predict reliability.

Technical Definitions and Conversion Charts
Customers can now obtain all the necessary technical data and engineering information needed for their bearing application with the plethora of information in Action Bearing’s Technical Toolbox which includes:
Comparison charts of the load carrying ability of different types of bearings
Inch, decimal and metric conversion charts
An overview of bearing types
Shaft and housing fits for electric motor style bearings
Interchanges
Engineering data for super precision bearings
A glossary of engineering terms

How a Ball Bearing is Made
Everything a customer needs to know has been made available in Action Bearing’s Technical Toolbox. Customers can even learn how a ball bearing is made. And, to back up their online tools, Action Bearing’s product experts can provide additional guidance and information needed by email or phone.

Action Bearing offers solutions to industries including aggregate/mining, electric motor, wastewater treatment, wood products, robotics and automation, machine tools, material handling, metal processing, packaging and food processing, power generation, paper converting and printing and many more. Visit Actionbearing.com for more information.
