Baby Boomers are retiring faster than expected, largely due to COVID-19 implications. In 2020, 56 percent of Boomers were drawing Social Security prior to full retirement age. In 2021, that number increased to 58 percent.
“In short, it looks like we’re going in the wrong direction,” explained nationally-known speaker, author, retirement planning guru and Boomer Marcia Mantell. “With Boomers retiring sooner than planned, they’re taking on some additional risk. They’re adding years to their planning horizon and may need to stretch their finances a bit too thin.
