October 15, 2024 //  by admin

GLASTONBURY, SOUTH GLASTONBURY AND SOUTH WINDSOR, CT…

Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café, the unique bakery café and bagel shop with five locations in Connecticut, has announced a wholesale bagel partnership with Dondero Orchards in South Glastonbury, CT.

Celebrating 113 years and four generations, Dondero Orchards is a local farm owned by Sandy Dondero.

Dondero Orchards now offers Between Rounds’ signature bagels. Packaged in brightly colored bags, the 4-packs feature the following flavors: Plain, Sesame, Poppy, Everything, Asiago, and Cheddar bagels. Dondero Orchards will also feature Between Rounds bagels on their Sunday morning breakfast menu.

Between Rounds signature bagels are consistent (and made from the same family recipe for over 30 years) and meet their wholesale partners’ high-quality standards. All the bagels are locally-produced at Between Roundsstate-of-the-art South Windsor, CT headquarters and are delivered fully baked to their wholesale partners.

Between Rounds was established in 1990 and is owned by brothers Jerry and Joe Puiia. The Puiia hallmark is manufacturing and selling their own bagels, which sets Between Rounds apart from other cafés. Jerry Puiia’s son Christopher Puiia is currently part of the management team and a future second generation owner. Jerry Puiia and family have lived in Glastonbury for over 25 years.

“Between Rounds is proud to partner with Dondero Orchards,” said Jerry Puiia. “Our bagels, which are locally made in our South Windsor bakery, complement the offerings at Dondero Orchards and we look forward to a long-term partnership with the Dondero family.”

The family-owned Between Rounds has been in business for more than three decades and is the brainchild of brothers Jerry and Joseph Puiia, who are Staten Island, NY natives. The Puiia hallmark is manufacturing and selling their own bagels, which sets Between Rounds apart from other cafés.
