South Shore Skin Center and Spa’s Emily Tierney, MD, a renowned board certified dermatologist and recognized skin cancer expert and Mohs Micrographic surgeon was a guest speaker at the Dermatology Nurses Association’s (DNA) 29th Annual Convention in San Diego, CA. Dr. Tierney, one of the DNA’s faculty lecturers, spoke about new developments in skin cancer ranging from prognostic factors to the latest therapies. Dr. Tierney emphasized what dermatology nurses need to know about skin cancer as well as the latest and developing treatments.
Several of South Shore Skin Center and Spa’s providers attended continuing education seminars at the DNA. Jean Adams, RN, BSN, Cosmetic Nurse Specialist, Nicole Giardino, RN and Michelle Nobles, RN earned educational credits in cosmetic and general dermatology.
