Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield Announces Drop-In After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield, has announced registration is now open for drop-in after school care to meet the needs of children and families in Marshfield.

Boys & Girls Clubs play an essential role for kids, families and communities, partnering with schools to keep young people on track academically, providing positive mentoring, impact programs, and most importantly fun.

Drop-In After School Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield offers a high-quality Drop-In After School Program for children in Kindergarten – Grade 8 onsite at the Club, located at 37 Proprietors Drive, Marshfield. Hours are school dismissal until 6 p.m. and the program includes Marshfield’s half-day Wednesdays. Transportation is provided from all five Marshfield Elementary Schools and Middle School.
 

Activities in the Drop-In Program at the Club include Homework Help, Sports and Games, Creative Arts and STEM, Enrichments and Mentoring. All youth are supervised by caring professionals who serve as positive role models and provide the children with a safe, fun environment filled with activities that promote their physical, social and emotional development.

“The Club is here for kids after school to support homework and academics, expose them to new opportunities and experiences, positive mentorship, a sense of belonging and so much more,” said Jim Bunnell, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield.

Back to School & Better than Ever

At the Club, youth have access to caring adult mentors and supportive peers, and group activities that are important to their development. The Club encourages children to balance learning and fun through homework help, physical activity and arts and crafts. The Club’s focus is on providing children with plentiful opportunities to reach their full potential. Overall, the Club’s programming is based around five core areas of the Boys & Girls Club of America; Health, Education and Career, Fitness, Leadership, and Art.


The Club’s Expansive Campus

The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield’s campus boasts an indoor facility and outdoor complex which includes a full court gymnasium, Learning Center, Games Room, Art Room & Makers Space, Warsofsky Teen Center, large outdoor fields, Pavilion, a commercial kitchen with healthy snack bar and more.
