9th Annual MarshVegas Turkey Trot on November 23rd

November 8, 2023 //  by admin

MARSHFIELD, MA … Join the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield in a community celebration at the 9th Annual MarshVegas Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.

The popular family-friendly and dog-friendly MarshVegas Turkey Trot will be held November 23, 2023 starting at 7:30 a.m. at South River School, 56 Hatch Street in Marshfield, 02050. Participants will enjoy a 4-mile or a 2-mile walk/run through a course that is flat and quiet through scenic back roads and trails of Marshfield. Families with strollers and dogs are welcome.

Pre-registration is $30 and includes a warm knit hat compliments of Quirk Cars and a delicious apple pie from Roche Bros. Registration on the day of the event is $40. Turkey Trot volunteer opportunities are also available.

To learn more and register to participate in the MarshVegas Turkey Trot or to volunteer, visit www.bgcmarshfield.org

“Each year, hundreds of families from Marshfield and beyond come together for the MarshVegas Turkey Trot. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather with community and friends and has become a Thanksgiving tradition for many,” noted Jim Bunnell, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield.

This year’s Turkey Trot is held in memory of our dear friend Scott Hamill who passed away this past June.  A lifelong resident of Marshfield, Scott was a tremendous supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. He was one of the original volunteers to start the Turkey Trot nine years ago.  Scott thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the planning committee for this event and was incredibly pleased with seeing how much the Turkey Trot has grown from year one.  We will continue this event in Scott’s memory going forward.

This event is sponsored by Tiny & Sons Glass, Roche Bros. and Quirk Cars.
