Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents Accepting New Members

The Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents (MABA) a non-profit buyer advocate organization comprised of realtors and brokers who are committed to protecting home buyers, is currently accepting new members.

MABA is a non-profit, self-regulated organization dedicated to educating and protecting buyers. A Buyer’s best interest is MABA’s first priority and the organization offers several classes of membership: Exclusive Buyer Agents and Single Agents ($125 annually) as well as Affiliate members ($300 annually). An Exclusive Buyer Agent is defined as an individual who works in an office where the Broker and/or Owner and all agents in the office only represent buyers and take no listings. A Single Agent may have listings in the office, but agrees to never represent both the buyer and the seller in the same transaction. Affiliate members are companies that provide services to MABA members.

Currently, MABA has members located in Massachusetts and surrounding states including Vermont, New Hampshire and New York. MABA members are licensed real estate professionals who never practice “Designated Agency.” They practice single agency or buyer agency and always act as fiduciary agents for the buyer. MABA maintains a database of members and provides home buyer counseling and profiles on association members throughout the area. MABA members actively participate in trade association committees and have been instrumental in creating forums for discussion of agency issues.

MABA members are known as experts in the industry. The organization offers their members a number of educational opportunities including ongoing webinars.
